Welcome Back Lions! It is going to be an awesome semester.
Attention Students! If you need a semester two schedule change you can sign-up for an appointment starting Mon. Feb. 5th. The last day to sign-up for schedule changes is Fri. Feb. 9th. Remember, schedule changes can only be made if you need to change levels or an elective.
Don't forget today is Book Club! Meetings are happening today during both lunches in the Library's Innovation lab. Look forward to seeing you there.

Attention all STEM members ... There are a few items that you need to know
1. Canadian Astronaut Jenni Gibbons will be presenting virtually this Thursday from 12:30 to 2:00. Permission slips are available outside of room 3005
2. STEM Olympics start on Thursday Feb 29th. Compete against follow grade members to determine this year's STEM Olympic Champions! Sign ups are again just outside of Room 3005.
3. The window to purchase the final round of STEM Spirit Wear will be closing this Wednesday. Be sure to purchase yours before it is too late.
4. All this information and more can be found on an email sent out or the STEM Brightspace page.
Valedictorian essays and applications are due to Mr. Cacilhas, in the Main Office, before 3pm , this Friday February 9th. Also, the electronic copy of the essay is due to Mrs. Fergus via her email, at that time as well. All necessary info is in the Grad Package from the November meetings and is also on the Grade 12 D2L page.

The Young Authors' Writing Contest deadline is end of day on Monday February 12th. See any English teacher for the particulars on format, expectations, and submissions.
A special contest for all students is happening right now in the Library. It's called Blind Date With A Book! For the next 2 weeks come to the Library and unwrap a book and create a Poem using the book you selected. The best poem will win an Amazon gift certificate. Rush to the library today before all the Blind Date Books are gone. LEAP members who enter the contest will receive a LEAP point. Contest closes Monday, February 19th.

Attention Lions! Our next Casual Dress Day is on Tuesday, January 16th. Students are required to bring in $2.00 to dress casually. All money collected will support our Uniform Assistance Program and the Guatemala Encounter.
Attention Lions and ACS Staff. Look around in your classroom. If you see an Advent wreath and candles, please send them NOW to the chaplain's office by 9:30 this morning so your classroom can be checked off as returned. Classrooms whose wreaths are not returned will not be able to be given a new one next year.
