1.   Attention Lions! Today is our Annual Wellness Fair in the cafeteria, proudly hosted by the ACS Jack Chapter in partnership with the board’s Mental Health Lead. During your assigned lunch period, you’ll have the opportunity to explore booths from 15 local organizations dedicated to supporting your well-being. There will be interactive activities, chances to enter prize draws, and plenty of awesome swag to take home! We hope that you join us during YOUR lunch! Habe a mentally healthy day. 

2.   Hey everyone! Don’t miss our Faith Night happening Thursday, May 7th from 6:00–8:00 p.m.! Come out for an awesome evening filled with music, prayer, fun activities, and snacks—bring a friend and come hang out! To join us, scan the QR code on the posters around the school to sign up. Don’t wait—the deadline is today!  

3.   A big congratulations to our ACS Concert Band for putting on a flawless performance at the Sanderson Centre last night.  Their version of Bohemian Rhapsody re-imagined the original 1975 lyrics to include the themes of poverty, messages of hope and the life of Jesus.  A special shout-out to Peyton for learning Brian May’s iconic guitar solo and playing it on tenor sax.  Also, a shout-out to Felix for putting together the slideshow that played during the band’s performance.  Well done Lions!   Looking forward to next week’s Spring Concert.   

4.   It’s Catholic Education week and we have a homeroom challenge under way. Remember to bring in your hygiene products to help those in need in our community. The class with the most donated items, will win DONUTS!!!! The Social Justice class will be around on Friday May 8 to collect the items. Thank you for your contributions! 

5.   Hey Lions! Do you still need a perfect Mother’s day gift? Find Trinkets for Treats at the back of the caf on your lunch during TODAY and TOMORROW for trinkets such as beautiful handmade bracelets, doggy bow ties, and flowers with lovely notes. This Social Justice class has been working hard to be able to offer support to the SPCA, all proceeds will go towards aiding the SPCA in their efforts to rescue and rehabilitate animals. Mother’s day is this weekend, so this is a perfect way to pick up a gift!  

6.   Attention Grade 12s: There are only three days left to purchase your Prom tickets. The final day to buy tickets is this Friday. Once your ticket is purchased, please email Ms. Mosher the names of the people you would like to sit with at your table. Each table seats up to 10 people. Even if your group has fewer than 10, please still send the names of everyone in your group. Beginning tomorrow, you can pick up your physical ticket at the back of the Caf on your lunch – please bring your receipt. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Mosher, Mrs. S. Medeiros, or Mrs. Lou-Kay-Zee (Lucchesi). 

7.   Just a friendly reminder that the Yearbook Club is meeting this afternoon after school in art room 2028. See you there! 

8.   Big news — after more than four years, our Girls Varsity Rugby Team is finally back on home turf! TODAY at 4:00 PM, our Lady Lions are ready to roar as they take on SJC. It’s time to unleash the pride, defend our territory, and show them what happens when you step into the Lions’ den! We’re calling on all students and staff to come out and support. And a special shoutout to all our ACS female athletes, come and cheer on these fierce competitors! Let’s pack the stands, bring the noise, and prove that our Lions don’t just play… they dominate! 

9.   Attention students! The Rainbow Ball is happening on May 14th! Get ready to dress up in your most glamorous semi‑formal attire and celebrate with students from all local public and Catholic high schools at this WICKED‑themed event. This year’s ball will take place at North Park, and transportation from ACS will be provided. Tickets are on sale now—see Ms. Nuhu in the staff room to purchase yours. Don’t miss out on this wickedly magical night! 

10.  Track and Field Athletes who want to go to AAHBN make sure your name is on the list posted outside of Room 2052. If it is not and you think you qualified please find Mr. Mitchell by Thursday or it will be to late. 

11.  Calling all singers, dancers and actors! Are you interested in being a part of a MUSICAL next year? If so, please come and meet Ms. Capostagno and Mr. DaCosta in room 2005 on Friday May 15th right after school. We are trying to gauge interest because this cannot happen without YOU!  

12.  Today's cafe special is Butter chicken on rice with a side of Bread $6.50. Cinnamon buns available at 10:15 am.
