1. A reminder that the Simba Awards are this Thursday Morning at 8am in the lecture hall. All nominees are asked to check their email.
2. Hey everyone! Don’t miss our Faith Night happening Thursday, May 7th from 6:00–8:00 p.m.! Come out for an awesome evening filled with music, prayer, fun activities, and snacks—bring a friend and come hang out! To join us, scan the QR code on the posters around the school to sign up. Don’t wait—the deadline is tomorrow! We can’t wait to see you there!
3. Class of 2026, please continue to watch for scholarship and award opportunities. Today, the ACS Alumni Stem Scholarship Application will be open. See D2L later today for details.
4. Attention Grade 12s: There are only four days left to purchase your Prom tickets. The final day to buy tickets is this Friday. Once your ticket is purchased, please email Ms. Mosher the names of the people you would like to sit with at your table. Each table seats up to 10 people. Even if your group has fewer than 10, please still send the names of everyone in your group. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Mosher, Mrs. S. Medeiros, or Mrs. Lucchesi.
5. Attention grade 12’s, this is a reminder that FULL DISCLOSURE is on Monday, May 11th. Please keep in mind that unless you have extenuating circumstances, you will need to remain full-time which is 3 or 4 courses this semester.
6. It’s Catholic Education week and we have a homeroom challenge under way. Remember to bring in your hygiene products to help those in need in our community. The class with the most donated items, will win DONUTS!!!! The Social Justice class will be around on Friday May 8 to collect the items. Thank you for your contributions!
7. Hey Lions! Do you still need a perfect Mother’s day gift? Find Trinkets for Treats at the back of the caf on your lunch during May 6th and 7th for trinkets such as beautiful handmade bracelets, doggy bow ties, and flowers with lovely notes. This Social Justice class has been working hard to be able to offer support to the SPCA, all proceeds will go towards aiding the SPCA in their efforts to rescue and rehabilitate animals. Mother’s day is this weekend, so this is a perfect way to pick up a gift!
8. Best of luck to our ACS Concert Band as they will perform tonight at the Sanderson Centre for the annual Celebration of the Arts. The band will play Bohemian Rhapsody for a sold out 1200 seat audience. Break a leg, not a reed.
9. Attention to all girls slo-pitch team members. Please come to the gym promptly after period 1 today!
10. Vocal Ensemble is reminded of our extended rehearsal TONIGHT, Tuesday, May 5th from 3-5pm in the lecture hall. Our Spring Concert is fast approaching, and rehearsal is the only way to be prepared. See you tonight!
11. Big news — after more than four years, our Girls Varsity Rugby Team is finally back on home turf! This Wednesday, May 6th, at 4:00 PM, our Lady Lions are ready to roar as they take on SJC. It’s time to unleash the pride, defend our territory, and show them what happens when you step into the Lions’ den! We’re calling on all students and staff to come out and support. And a special shoutout to all our ACS female athletes, come and cheer on these fierce competitors! Let’s pack the stands, bring the noise, and prove that our Lions don’t just play… they dominate!
12. Boys Rugby has a home game!! Again Boys Rugby has a home game on the main field. Come cheer on your Lions today as they take on BCI in a triple header. The Seniors start things off at 3pm, with the juniors following at 4pm and bantams at 5pm.
13. A quick reminder to any member of the Boy’s Varsity Baseball Team: if you are attending this month’s tournament, please meet in Portable 5 at the end of the day today!
