1. Gr 9 - 11 Exams start tomorrow (Friday June 20th). Good luck on your exams Lions!
2. Students are advised to arrange alternate rides home after exams as most buses will still operate at normal school day times. The following buses will be early and leave ACS at 12:00 pm - B-725, B-730 and B-733, 18, 18A. There will be no late taxi's during exams (June 20 - 25).
3. Attention lions. The cell phone charging locker in the library will be unavailable once exams start. Please plan accordingly.
4. Do you enjoy being outside? Do you need community service hours? St. John Catholic Church in Brantford needs students to cut the grass on their property. Call the church to volunteer or for more information see the poster beside the chaplain’s office and on the volunteer bulletin board beside guidance.
5. A friendly reminder to return your library books before you leave for the summer.
6. Are you sad that you can no longer borrow library books? Don’t sweat it. There are used books on sale for the rest of the year in the library for only $2. Come check out the selection today.
7. Hey Junior Lions! Spots for the March 2027 England/France trip are filling up fast! Couldn’t make it to the parent information night? Don’t worry, informational flyers are available on the door of workroom 2052 (next to the Chaplain’s office). Scan the QR code on the flyer for the itinerary, pricing, and enrollment instructions. Sign-up before June 30th to receive $280 off the price of the trip! For more information, reach out to Mrs. McLaughlin, Mr. Paonessa, or Ms. Capostagno.
8. The Equal Grounds Community Garden at Edith Monture Park (located behind Assumption’s Portables) is looking for volunteers over the summer months! Help out with watering, weeding, harvesting, and handing out flyers to local homes. Email Mrs. Walsh, or see the poster on the QUAKE board beside Student Services to get involved.
9. Want to win some Apple Airpods? Lulu gift cards? Donate those unused uniform pieces to TLC to win. Get one ballot per item. The draw takes place June 25 during the Grad Lunch.
10. Attention Assumption Students! Jack Chapter Executive applications are due tonight at 11:59 PM!
