1. Attention students applying for the Lion/Letter Award. Your status sheet of academic marks and or the optional community service sheet can ONLY be picked up from a Librarian on the Monday following the day you received your application. These sheets will not be given out any other day, but Mondays in the Library. And don’t forget to photocopy your student card for the application.
2. Congratulations to Liya Edwards! She is the recipient of the Outstanding Student Written Short Plays in CANADA through the TAEA STAR Short Play Program, also known as Starfest. When you see her congratulate her for this HUGE honour! Amazing work Liya!
3. Coffee House is next week lions, and tickets are now available on school cash online! Come on out to enjoy the amazing musical performances of our ACS students. Snacks and warm beverages are included in the cost of your ticket.
4. To celebrate National Poetry Month and Shakespeare Birthday, we are bringing back the Taylor Swift versus Shakespeare contest. All you have to do is answer 2 out of 3 lyrics or lines correctly from a librarian and be entered into a draw for a $25 Amazon gift card on Shakespeare’s Birthday on April 23rd. See you in the library.
5. Attention STEM students, STEM Olympics will be held the week of April 20th to April 24th (please note the date change). Create a group of no more than 4 students at the same grade level and sign up outside of room 3005. The week’s events include trivia, as well as grade level, math, and engineering challenges. Don’t miss the chance for your team to be declared STEM Olympics Champions! You must sign up by Thursday!
6. Attention all ACS Prefect Recruits, please check your school email for a Welcome message from Mr. Nagler. We ask that you continue checking your school email regularly for updates on your application and Prefect Recruitment
7. This year’s spring dance is scheduled for Thursday, April 30th from 6-9pm, and the theme is 90’s Throwback! Ticket sales will begin for $5 on school cash online Monday, April 20th (next week). If you plan to bring an outside guest, be sure to pick up a guest permission form from the main office. No guest tickets will be sold without a signed permission form.
8. Reminder to members of Concert Band of their mandatory practice today and that 2 permission forms are due this week. Band + mandatory = (you got it)... Bandatory

10. Attention all girls interested in trying out for the girls field lacrosse team. Please come to a quick meeting at the start of senior lunch today.
11. For all those FIT members who requested spirit wear t-shirts or sweaters, please go to school cash online to purchase the style you want. If you didn’t sign the sheet but would like spirit wear, let Mrs. Santos know and she can request to add your name to school cash online. Last day to purchase will be April 27.
12. Attention all Boys Lacrosse Players. Tryouts for the upcoming season will take place this Wednesday after school at 3:15pm. Meet inside the main field. Be sure to see Mr. P if you plan to play Lacrosse this year.
