The 2022-2023 Yearbooks are still available to those who were absent yesterday. All students who paid their 2022-2023 registration fee can pick up at the back of the cafeteria TODAY during both lunches. First period Co-op, Spare and Online students can go to the Library any time throughout the day to pick up.
Today is the day! The long-anticipated Teacher vs Student Dodgeball Match will be happening during both lunches today. Remember that this a cash only event and the entrance fee is $2. Can Mr. DaCosta duck and dive? Can Mr. O’Brien outrun a whizzing dodgeball? All of these questions and more will be answered today if you attend this thrilling match! Your $2 cash fee must be paid at the gym entrance before you are admitted. This is a must-see event!
Attention all Jr. Boys basketball practice….there is no practice after school today. Next game is against SJC on Monday at 4pm. You have to wear your blue jerseys on Monday.
Attention Vocal Ensemble - a reminder of our caroling this Saturday to support the "911 Holiday Toy Drive". If anyone has a new toy that they want to bring to support that would be great! They are trying to fill an ambulance, police cruiser and firetruck! Meet at 14 Garnet St. at the Cainsville Community Center for 1pm. Please dress warm as we MAY be singing outside.
Attention 2024 Graduates! If you want to participate in the graduation ceremony in June, you need to register for graduation on the Grade 12 D2L page. The deadline for registration and grad fee payment is Friday, December 8th. Register today!

Please consider making a trip up to the second floor and selecting a tag off the tree with the store name and price that you wish to purchase. The Community Skate Exchange returns this winter. Donate, exchange or pick-up a free pair of gently-used ice skates each Wednesday from December 6 to December 13, 2023 and January 10 to February 14, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Harmony Square main office. Community members in need of ice skates, or looking to exchange their old ones for a new size, are encouraged to attend.
The Metis Nation of Ontario (MNO) is organizing a Youth Cultural Camp for Métis youth (grade 10 to 12) to participate in cultural activities in-person. The camp will celebrate Métis history as well as traditional and contemporary way of life and culture. Please see the Guidance D2L page for more information.

We are just a few days away from celebrating our annual Academic Award Ceremony on Wednesday, Nov. 22nd. The first ceremony will celebrate recipients with last names A to K and the second ceremony will celebrate recipients with last names L to Z. To offer some quick reminders and to help answer any last-minute questions about the two ceremonies, some Q&A posters have been posted at the back of the Caf, outside the Main Office, and in the windows off the Student Entrance. They address things like where to go, what to wear, parking, and what will happen if you cannot make it. A chart depicting the Check-in and Award Pick-up locations are also posted in the same locations. To all our award winners, we are looking forward to celebrating your academic achievements!

We are just a few days away from celebrating our annual Academic Award Ceremony on Wednesday, Nov. 22nd. The first ceremony will celebrate recipients with last names A to K and the second ceremony will celebrate recipients with last names L to Z. To offer some quick reminders and to help answer any last-minute questions about the two ceremonies, some Q&A posters have been posted at the back of the Caf, outside the Main Office, and in the windows off the Student Entrance. They address things like where to go, what to wear, parking, and what will happen if you cannot make it. A chart depicting the Check-in and Award Pick-up locations are also posted in the same locations. To all our award winners, we are looking forward to celebrating your academic achievements!
On Friday, November 24th, come to the Home Alone pajama movie night hosted by your LAC and social justice class. With just $5 you get to enjoy a scavenger hunt around the school with prizes for the winning team. Your $5 ticket will also cover pizza and a drink. Bring a friend or make a friend. Polaroids, candy bags, and popcorn will also be sold at this event so make sure you bring cash. All additional purchases are donated to Pennies from Heaven. Attention Graduates! From Monday, December 4th to Tuesday, December 19th, Edge Imaging will be here taking graduation photos in the INNOVATION LAB! Students are now able to book appointments online. Please see the ACS school website for all the appointment booking details.
This year's Semi-Formal dance is fast approaching on Friday December 1st! The theme is Black and Red Gala. Ticket sales for this event will begin this Wednesday, November 22 on school cash online. If you are planning to bring a guest from another school, guest permission forms can be picked up in the main office TODAY! Please remember that guest forms must be completed in full before a ticket can be purchased. A reminder that only one guest per ACS student is allowed, and they must be enrolled in high school.
