Thursday June 18, 2026

1.   Grade 12 grads, donate those uniform parts to TLC for an opportunity to win some great prizes. Each item gets you one ballot. See Mrs. Medeiros or Mrs. Bednarz for ballots. Winners announced at Grad lunch. 

2.   Attention Grade 12 students who challenged the DELF this semester. If you haven’t received your results yet, please pick them up in the main office. Merci.  

3.   The following bus routes will leave at 12PM on exam days: 211, 212, 216, 725, 727, 730, and 733. All other buses will leave regular time. 

4.   Students who have paid for a yellow parking pass, you can return your pass to the main office for your refund. 

5.   Are you in Grade 12, living in the Burford area, and heading to post-secondary this fall? Once exams are done, here’s an easy chance to win some sweet cash. The Burford Optimist Club is offering a $1,000 prize for its annual essay contest, open to Burford graduating students. All you need to do is write a 500–750 word essay and submit it by midnight on June 30 to burford optimist essay@yahoo.com. Don’t miss out! This could be the easiest cash you earn all summer. See Mrs. Engell if you have any questions. 

6.   Were you thinking about going on the 2028 Arts March Break trip to Greece? It isn’t too late, but spots are filling up! The price goes up on June 30th. So, lock in the lowest price and grab one of the last 7 spots by enrolling today.  For more information, grab an info package from outside of room 2015 or speak to Ms. Benoit. 

7.   Attention students interested in the France, Italy and Monaco Trip and missed the meeting, it's not too late to register for this amazing opportunity. Information packages are outside of room 2004 or visit Mme Pace for all the details. Book now for the lowest price and save $200. Prices will increase on June 30th.

Interested in playing in Concert Band next year?  There will be a meeting this Monday, June 15 at 3:00 in the music room.  We will be talking about what music we will be playing next year as well as where we will be performing.  Please email Mr. G. if you are interested but not able to attend.   

5. Huge congratulations to two of our incredibly talented writers who took top honours across all of Ontario! Sanam Godiwala has won the Provincial OECTA Young Author Award for the Grades 9–10 Poem category for “Unfinished Ending”. And bravo to Brooke-Lynn Caruana, who came first in the Grades 11–12 Nonfiction category for “The Silence That Affects the Mind”! Your creativity, passion, and hard work have truly paid off, and we couldn’t be prouder! Let’s give these outstanding authors a big round of applause!

1.   Hello Grads, if you signed up for the grad lotto to win an extra seating pass, please check the list of names posted outside the office.  Passes can be picked up before school, after school, or on your lunch. 

2.   Good morning! A reminder to all Prefects: the Commissioning of all successful new Prefect recruits is taking place in the CHAPEL today at 3pm, and our final Prefect meeting of the school year is also being held today at 3pm in the Lecture Hall. We look forward to seeing everyone there! 

3.   The award winning ACS Dance Team and the Senior Dance class are excited to present the 3rd annual ACS Dance Showcase ! Come show your support for these dancers and bid our grads farewell on Tuesday, June 9th at 6:00 pm in the caf. From Pom, to tap, to lyrical to jazz, don’t miss your chance to be entertained by this talented group. Admission is pay what you can at the door.  See you on the 9th!

4.   Attention all athletes: The Athletic Banquet is quickly approaching.  It is being held at the Brantford Golf and Country Club, June 10th Tickets are on sale and must be purchased through school cash on-line. Bring a digital copy of your receipt to the female phys ed office to get your printed ticket. Dress code is: dress to impress. Spots are limited so grab yours today!

BHNCDSB and GEDSB in collaboration with the Hillier Foundation are excited to announce the third Vision into the Future STEM conference! Join students from all high schools in the area at the Sanderson Center and Laurier Brantford. Your day includes bussing, an amazing keynote speaker, 3 workshops and/or seminars, and lunch!
