2.   Do you need some help with your OSAP application? If the answer is yes, Ms. Chagnon will be providing assistance during senior lunch tomorrow in computer lab 2007. 

3.   Graduating students! Do you need an extra seating pass to grad?  Sign up for the grad lotto and win an extra pass.  Go to the main office before school, after school, or during your lunch to sign up – this week only!  A list of winners will be posted outside the office on Monday June 8th. 

4.   Attention all athletes: The Athletic Banquet is quickly approaching.  It is being held at the Brantford Golf and Country Club, June 10th Tickets are on sale and can be purchased through school cash on-line. Bring a copy of your receipt to the female phys ed office to get your printed ticket. Spots are limited so grab yours today!  

5.   Need something to do this Friday night?! The Jack Chapter is hosting their annual Spring Karaoke with the addition of Just Dance every day until Friday during all three lunches. The event is this Friday from 6-8 PM. Tickets are $5 and include pizza and prizes during the event. Come out and enjoy your Friday night with the Jack Chapter!

6.   Just a friendly reminder that the Yearbook Club is meeting this afternoon after school in art room 2028. Remember to bring your volunteer forms to the meeting to have your earned hours confirmed by Mrs. McLaughlin or Ms. Christie. Also, today is the last meeting of the year so please bring your smiles for our club group photo! See you there!

8.   Attention all students interested in travelling to France, Italy and Monaco over the March beak of 2028. There  will be an information meeting on Wednesday June 10th at 7pm in the lecture hall. Get all the details for this amazing opportunity. For more information visit Mme Pace in room 2004 to pick up an information booklet. Book before June 14th to save $200. Prices will go up at the end of June.

4.   ACS wins again! Congratulations to our fellow Lion, Seerat Virk, on winning the prestigious Laurier Stedman Prize for her short story, “The Same Wind,” earning an incredible $3,500 award.   A huge congratulations as well to our other talented nominees: Ema N., Iré O., and Celeste W. for their outstanding short story submissions to this year’s competition. We are incredibly proud of all of our writers and deeply appreciate the creativity, dedication, and hard work that went into this year’s submissions.  

5.   The 180 Team is meeting today on the lunchtimes in the chapel.

1.   Attention students! If you are taking or planning on taking Summer School, make sure you check your school board email regularly for updates on Summer school programming. 

2.   Grade 12s, the grad retreat is next week on Tuesday. Only students who have already paid may attend. At 8:50am do not go to your period 1 class. Meet at the school entrance by the tennis courts and port-a-pack. The buses will be leaving at 9:00am so don’t be late. Dress in non-uniform appropriate comfortable clothing suitable for the weather. Bring a refillable water bottle. If you haven’t handed in a permission form yet, bring it with you on Tuesday. 

3.   A huge shout out to those who participated in the Spring Concert on Wednesday – it was a fabulous show with amazing musicianship and talent. Thank you especially to Mr. Petrella and Miss Whittingham for their sound setup and audio expertise!

5.   Calling all singers, dancers and actors! Are you interested in being a part of a MUSICAL next year? If so, please come and meet Ms. Capostagno and Mr. DaCosta in room 2005 TODAY Friday May 15th right after school. We are trying to gauge interest because this cannot happen without YOU!

6.   All Music students travelling to Wonderland next week, your permission forms are now due!! No form, no go. We leave at 8a.m. on the bus with or without you. Be sure to also purchase your music t-shirt! 

7.   Attention all girls interested in trying out for the girls field lacrosse team.  Tryouts will be Tues, Thurs and Fri next week. Grab a permission form from the female phys. Ed hallway and bring it to the first tryout. Dress for the weather and meet in the gym, ready to go outside by 3:15. 

8.   The Varsity Boys Soccer Team played their hearts out yesterday in the AABHN final against St. John’s. They truly saved their best team performance of the season at the best possible time. Playing a frustrating defensive structure, our counter attack looked dangerous throughout the match. The boys fought hard for every loose ball, time and space. They played for each other and the pride of the ACS Lions. With the score still 0-0 after regulation and overtime, Donavan R., Ethan P., Ashur G., Matthew G. And Eamon N. All converted penalty kicks in the shootout victory. Greyson Vanderwal earned the clean sheet, making several big saves at key moments to keep the match deadlocked. Man of the match honours goes to Matthew G., for owning the left wing the entire match. The boys move on to CWOSSA in Cambridge on May 26th and 27th. Shoutout to all the fans that braved the frigid temperatures to support the team! 

9.   There will be a mandatory meeting for all athletes advancing to CWOSSA on Tuesday at the end of the day in the gym! Anyone who wants to go to CWOSSA or who thinks they are going will need to show up to the meeting. 

10.  There will be a brief Jack Chapter meeting, today, at 3:10 in Room 1005 for all members. Have a mentally healthy day!
