Attention Music students! Please submit your permission forms and money for the Music Festival at Wonderland to Mr. Glowala and Mrs. Ratelband by Friday, June 3rd.
Attention members of the Girls Fast Pitch team. You are needed at the diamond tomorrow by 10:15am. Please see Ms. McDade if you need a ride.
An announcement for all grade 12 students who are attending the grad retreat tomorrow. You are to meet at the back of the school at 8:50 outside. Only students who have already paid and have already handed in their permission forms to Mrs. Sheldrake are permitted to attend. The weather is going to be very hot tomorrow. It’s important that you take care of yourself in the heat. Bring a refillable water bottle. Wear a hat. Use sunscreen. Also wear running shoes to better participate in the activities.
This year’s Gr. 12 Drama class presents “The Waiting Room”! It is an interdimensional space where people wait to discover where they go in their afterlife; heaven or hell… There is Angel Cass and a Devil Dan who wait for their work day to begin. A typical day in the waiting room suddenly has a hitch in the plan, and chaos strikes… Join the Assumption College School gr. 12 Drama Class on June 1st at 7:00pm to watch the show! Tickets are FREE!
Final STEM guest speaker of the year. Michael Koss, an Astrophysicist, will be presenting on Wednesday June 1st, one session only, 12:45pm to 1:45pm. Come hear about his travels, the telescopes he has used (including Hubble), and some of the amazing astronomical phenomena he has studied. Tickets and sign up are located outside of Room 3005.
Listen up ACS, the moment you've been waiting for has finally arrived! Shakespearience is visiting us on Tuesday, June 14 during both lunches. Attention all athletes, runners, and walkers, consider joining Ms. Denison, Ms. Beccari, Mr. Kozina, and Mr. Prior as we enter ACS into the Brantford Classic. A 3k walk, a 5k run and a 10k run are the options this year. Proceeds go to supporting local Brantford youth in need. There will be a brief meeting today in room 3026 for anyone looking to get more information at first lunch (that’s 11:35). There will also be a practice after school tomorrow so be sure to bring your gear! See you then.

The long weekend is finally here! Let's get outside and enjoy the sunshine and join in the “Walk 1,000 Steps for Life Challenge!”. It is taking place this weekend, from Saturday to Monday. You choose one day to walk 1,000 stops or more. Invite your family and friends to walk with you and add their steps into your total. This is not an organized group activity. You can walk on your own or invite your friends and family along with you and boost your total number of steps walked. Use your electronic device such as a Fitbit, cell phone, etc. to record your walk of 1,000 or more steps then please take a picture of yourself and your electronic device, showing that you have completed your 1,000 steps. Email the picture to the chaplain Mrs. Sheldrake or d.m. to her instragram at acs chaplain. Our goal is to beat our last year's total which is 322,020 steps. Let's do it! There will be an ACE meeting today at first lunch in the library reading room. The focus will be planning for Culture day. Anyone interested in attending today’s meeting is welcome, even if they aren’t a part of ACE.

Then consider signing up for this years Brantford Classic taking place on Sunday June 5th. You can run or walk to support a great cause and yes, there are prizes too. There will be a quick info session in the lecture hall at the beginning of both lunches TODAY or you can see Ms. Denison, Ms. Beccari, or Mr. Kozina (aka Jordan) for more details. Let’s walk (or run) for those in need.
Coffee House is back Lions! Need an excuse to hang out with friends, eat snacks, and enjoy some great live entertainment? Coffee House is the place to be! Come on out this Thursday and see all the talent our school has to offer. Doors open at 6pm. Tickets can be purchased in the cafeteria at both lunches this week for $8, or for $10 at the door. Seating is limited so make sure to get your tickets early!
Attention members of the boys' baseball team. Our final tournament of the season starts tomorrow morning. Players need to be at Millcroft Park, which is located at 4520 Millcroft Park Drive in Burlington, at 10 am on Friday. Players should bring a light lunch since there will not be any time between games to leave the diamond to go for lunch. Players should also bring plenty of water and sun protection since the weather is expected to be sunny and hot. Players should bring both their blue school jerseys and their grey t shirts. Any player that needs a ride to Burlington should speak to Mr. Annear to make transportation arrangements.

Use your electronic device such as a Fitbit, cell phone, etc. to record your walk of 1,000 or more steps then please take a picture of yourself and your electronic device, indicating that you have completed your 1,000 steps. A couple of students decided that they wanted to put together some welcome bags to gift to a small farm in our area. Tuesday and Friday in the caf, we will be selling handmade buttons! Come out and support a great cause!

Attention all CWOSSA Track and Field Athletes. If you have not yet confirmed your ride to PJ this afternoon or tomorrow morning, you need to see Mr. P or Ms. Ferraccioli immediately following announcements this morning. Cabs have been ordered to leave the school at 12pm today and at 8:15am tomorrow morning. Be sure to let Mr.P or Ms. Ferraccioli know if you still require transportation to PJ. Hello Gr 12 Students! Prom tickets are on sale until the 19th of May. There is a limited number of tickets available. Prom will be held on Saturday, June 4th at Hamilton's Marquis Gardens. You can pay for your $60 ticket either with cash or ahead of time with School Cash Online. In order to use the online payment option, please bring your receipt to our ticket selling table in the caf during second lunch to pick up your physical ticket. Hello Lions! As many of you know, migrant workers have arrived to help out on our local farms. A couple of students decided that they wanted to put together some welcome bags to gift to a small farm in our area. Tuesday and Friday in the caf, we will be selling handmade buttons! Come out and support a great cause!

You can pay for your $60 ticket either with cash or ahead of time with School Cash Online. In order to use the online payment option, please bring your receipt to our ticket selling table in the caf during second lunch to pick up your physical ticket. Attention members of the boys' baseball team. Players are reminded that they need to be at Matt Krol Field in Ancaster at 385 Jerseyville Rd West by 8 am on Tuesday for our first game in the Ancaster mini tournament. The schedule for the rest of the week with the addresses for the diamonds in Ancaster on Tuesday and Burlington on Friday is posted on the team page in Brightspace. Any player that needs a ride to the park should contact Mr. Annear to make transportation arrangements. Players should bring both the blue school jersey and the grey t shirt and ball cap to the tournaments in Ancaster and in Burlington.
