The amazing WE SCARE HUNGER event is taking place TODAY.  The event starts at 4pm.  Please be sure to be on time and ready to go. Dress warmly, meet your team in the caf, and be sure that your driver sees Mr. O'Brien in the library before heading out.  This event is going to be awesome!

Attention all girls interested in trying out for the girls ice hockey team. There is a mandatory meeting TODAY at the beginning of your lunch in the small gym. 

ATTENTION Grade 12 & fifth-year Lions!  A reminder to include scholarship and bursary research into your pathway planning.  The scholarship chart is always available on your D2L and the schools that you are applying to have links on their websites for program specific opportunities.

Attention Grade 12's and fifth-year students!  On November 2nd at 9:00am the guidance department will be hosting the college and university presentations for co-op students and all students who missed either presentation. 
The presentation will occur in the lecture hall.  No sign up necessary!  Just report to the lecture hall next Wednesday at 9:00 am. Attendance will be taken at the beginning of the workshop and shared with classroom teachers. 

Attention ACS Knitting Club!  Our next meeting will be on Wednesday, Nov 2nd in portable 17 from 3pm-4pm. Bring your blankets so we can start our scarfs! Let Ms. Cameron know if you can't make it. 

The next shipment of Spirit Wear has arrived, up to and including order number 341.  Please go to the Students Council Office to pick up your order during your lunch.

STEM students can pick up their STEM spirit wear in Room 3005 this week, either before homeroom or after school.

Today in the cafeteria we have donuts, danishes, and a new old favourite ...carmel coffee cake swirl muffins.  Come on in and enjoy.  The special in the cafeteria today is a Pulled Pork Sandwich for $5.75 OR a Pulled Pork Poutine for $6.50.

Anyone interested in helping behind the scenes for the National Theatre School Drama Festival, please submit your paragraph reason to Mrs. Ratelband by 3p.m. TODAY, Thursday, October 27th.  The list will be posted by November 1st as to who is selected for this year's stage crew, props and painting.

The GSA is meeting TODAY in the drama room during first lunch.  The second lunch GSA meeting will take place in Room 1035.  We are still painting.

Members of the Sr. Girls Basketball team are asked to come down to the gym following announcements for a brief meeting with Mr. Petrella. 

All entries for the "Thank a Vet" speech writing competition are due TODAY.  Prizes will be awarded for the top three entries.

Attention all Games Night volunteers!  Just a reminder to meet in the caf at 5:30 tonight for pizza followed by set up for Newcomer Family Fun Games Night.  Thank you for supporting the local newcomer community and thank you to Mr. Nagler and Mrs. Medeiros for all your help!

The ACE Committee will no longer be selling candy as the candy bags have completely sold out! The Committee would like to thank everyone for their donations to the candy bag fundraiser.

Bags will cost a minimum of 2 dollars, but everyone is encouraged to donate as much as they want. All donated money will be going towards relief efforts for those affected by the floods in Pakistan!

Mrs. Flanagan is looking for a team of students to run this year's Assumption College Model United Nations Assembly, or ACMA, that will take place on Friday December 9th.  Interested students need to have strong research and writing skills and must work well with others.  This executive team will manage delegate applications, research and write the resolution and determine the country list.  Applications forms are available outside 1013 and must be returned to Mrs. Flanagan by Monday October 24th.
