Attention all team leaders from the We Scare Hunger event: Please come to the cafeteria directly after these announcements have ended for a quick check in.  Again, that's all team leaders for the food drive collection of we scare hunger, please come to the cafeteria right after these announcements 

The amazing WE SCARE HUNGER event is taking place this Friday, OCTOBER 28th.  The event starts at 4pm.  Please be sure to be on time and ready to go. Dress warmly, meet your team in the caf, and be sure that your driver sees Mr. O'Brien in the library before heading out.  This event is going to be awesome!

The GSA is meeting TODAY in the drama room during first lunch.  The second lunch GSA meeting will take place in Room 1035.  We are still painting. 

A reminder of the mandatory Dance Team rehearsal TODAY from 3pm to 7pm. Please bring your permission forms. See you there!

Members of the Sr. Girls Basketball team are asked to come down to the gym following announcements for a brief meeting with Mr. Petrella. 

All entries for the "Thank a Vet" speech writing competition are due TODAY.  Prizes will be awarded for the top three entries.

Any boys interested in trying out for the ACS Boys Varsity Hockey team are asked to meet TODAY in Room 2027, at 3pm.  All players will need a signed waiver and payment to participate in our tryouts next week.

Attention ACS Knitting Club!  Our next meeting will be on Wednesday, Nov 2nd in portable 17 from 3pm-4pm. Bring your blankets so we can start our scarfs! Let Ms. Cameron know if you can't make it. 

The next shipment of Spirit Wear has arrived, up to and including order number 341.  Please go to the Students Council Office to pick up your order during your lunch.

STEM students can pick up their STEM spirit wear in Room 3005 this week, either before homeroom or after school.

Picture Retake Day is scheduled for Thursday, October 27th.

Attendance is MANDATORY for any student who intends to apply to a post-secondary institute for next year.  The College application workshop will be TODAY during Period 2 in the Lecture Hall.  The University Application workshop will be TOMORROW during Period 2 at the front of the cafeteria.  There is no sign up required for these presentations.  Classes will be called down before the presentation.

Invitations for this year’s Academic Awards Evening on November 9th were emailed to families last Friday.  Please check your Inbox or Junk folders for this invitation.  If your name is on the list outside the Main Office and you did not receive an invitation, please come to the main office during your lunch.

Good news and bad news - the good news is the Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre is SOLD OUT!  The bad news is if you missed getting your tickets then it's TOO LATE.  Those who have reserved your seat - please pay by Thursday, October 27th or your seat will be sold.

Attention all Games Night volunteers!  Just a reminder to meet in the caf at 5:30 tonight for pizza followed by set up for Newcomer Family Fun Games Night.  Thank you for supporting the local newcomer community and thank you to Mr. Nagler and Mrs. Medeiros for all your help!

The ACE Committee will no longer be selling candy as the candy bags have completely sold out! The Committee would like to thank everyone for their donations to the candy bag fundraiser. 

The Jack Chapter will be meeting this Friday after school at 3:05pm in the Lecture Hall. We invite all students to come out who have signed up at Clubs Week as we will be planning our Social Media campaign and fundraising opportunities and choosing a date for Christmas Karaoke. Please attend the meeting on time! We look forward to seeing everyone there and promoting Mental Health within our school community. Attention all newcomers!  Just a reminder to join your local community tonight for the Newcomer Family Fun Games Night taking place in the caf tonight from 6:30 until 8:00.  Bring your family and friends and learn how to play a new board game, connect with other newcomers, and celebrate the rich cultural diversity of our community!

CALLING ALL Assumption College GIRLS!  A few school ambassadors are needed to sit on the SOROPTIMIST DREAM IT, BE IT Advisory Steering committee. DREAM IT, BE IT is an empowering secondary school girls FREE career support event.  Earn volunteer hours, use your voice, and help organize an empowering event.  Learn, have fun, and gather a job description on your resume.  You will need to attend four THINK TANK meetings between Saturday October 22nd and February 25th from 10:00 am-12:30 pm.  Please see Ms. Chagnon in Student Services for more information.

There is an Amplify meeting this Wednesday, in Portable 13 at the beginning of 4th period, please sign up outside of Guidance and be sure to meet us there to plan this awesome event!!!

For everyone participating in We Scare Hunger, Tuesday will be the last day that forms will be accepted. There is a list in Student Services that indicates if you are missing any forms.  If you think you might be, please check it out. Also, don’t forget about the mandatory meeting on Wednesday, October 19th in the lecture hall during both lunches.

At the beginning of your lunches, Grade 9s and 11s asked to please see Mr. Prior in Room 2003, and Grade 10s and 12s are asked to please see Ms. Czaplinska in Portable 5.

Attention all students... French Club is meeting this Wednesday at the beginning of both lunches.  First lunch will be in Room 2005.  Second lunch will be in Room 2007.  Please sign up in Room 2005 by noon on Tuesday.  ALL ARE WELCOME!

On Thursday Oct 20th, there will be a Let's Talk Science Presentation on Space Exploration featuring Jeremy Hansen from 12:30pm to 2:00pm.  Students will need an admit slip to attend as there may be some class time missed. They are to be picked up outside of Room 3005 starting Monday.

Hey Lions! It’s official, The Exchange is back! Our very own student-run newspaper is now recruiting new team members. Come out on Wednesday, October 19th at 8:15 AM to the library if you’re interested! 

Do you want to buy Halloween Candy while supporting a cause? The ACE Committee will be selling bags of candy during both lunches at the back of the caf every day of this week. Bags will cost a minimum of 2 dollars, but everyone is encouraged to donate as much as they want. All donated money will be going towards relief efforts for those affected by the floods in Pakistan!
