CWAYC Announcement
Do you want to have your voice heard on world issues that matter to you? Then CWAYC or, “Canadian and World Affairs Youth Council”, is for you! CWAYC members can become a powerful force to move and shake things up in our world. Our activities include a Model UN, guest speakers, Mock Trial, the Geography Challenge, conferences, and more! If you get “fired up” about history, politics, law, economics, and the environment, join CWAYC today, and come to our first meeting on Wednesday, September 12, in the lecture hall during first and second lunch.

Used Uniform Items
Used ACS Uniforms Items Wanted . Enter for a chance to win $150 in gift cards. Bring in more than 2 uniform items and for each piece you will receive a ticket for a draw to win $150 cash. We expect and appreciate that, unforms to be in good condition, preferably washed, grad students to bring all that you own , grade 9 - 11 students to bring any outgrown items. To enter uniforms wil be collected in TLC and tickets given on the last day of grade 12 exams June 21st. Draw takes place June 22nd.
Next Year's Mission Trip
Attention students who will be in Grade 11 or 12 NEXT SCHOOL YEAR; have you ever thought about helping those who have been devastated by a natural disaster? If you have this passion, then next year's mission trip is for you! The school board has been offering this type of mission trip to various locations in North America for over 20 years. The mission trip is a unique experience that allows you to put your faith into action. You will get the chance to work with students from the other 2 high schools in our school board for one week. The tentative location for this year's mission trip is New Orleans, Louisiana to help in the relief of damage caused by over a decade of hurricanes and tornados. If you are interested, please pick up an application form and get more details from ....... in room 1136 from Mr. Sitko..... . Spots are very limited, so apply as soon as possible. Applications are due back by June 11st at the latest!
Final Exam Prep / Study Blitz
ACS is blessed to be offering free Final Exam Preparations and Study Blitz from Mon. June 4 to Thurs. June 7 between 3-4pm in the school’s library (Think Tank). Several ACS Prefects and staff are offering free tutoring and exam preparations, including study tips and strategies, for all students. Computers and printers are available. This is a great opportunity for students who may have incomplete course culminating activities and/or summative assignments to complete them. Please encourage your son or daughter to attend.
