Red Shirt Day 2025

Monday, May 5th is the National Day of Awareness and Action for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG) in Canada. This day is also known as Red Dress Day. It is a day to honour and bring awareness to the thousands of Indigenous women, girls, and two-spirit people who have been subject to disproportionate violence in Canada.  Students and staff are encouraged to wear a Red Shirt and/or moccasins.   Indigenous female students are also allowed to wear Ribbon Skirts.
