Prefects

Assumption College Prefects have a responsibility to uphold the high standards of a Catholic learning community, and to represent the school in a positive light. The Prefect program gives students the opportunity to hold formal leadership positions within the wider school community.

Prefects can be identified by their special uniforms, including grey vests, burgundy cardigans, and lanyards.

Roles of a Prefect include: providing Catholic/Spiritual leadership, assisting administration in school events, tutoring students every Tuesday/Thursday in the library and TLC room, participating in the Lunch Buddies program with the Special Education department, and assisting grade nine students in their transition to high school.

Grade 11 students (as well as Grade 12 students coming back for another year) are able to apply for the Prefect program in Semester Two.  If any student is in need of assistance, Prefects are there to help.

Have a great year lions!
