Faith in Sport

“Give the Best of Yourself” Sport and Faith Initiative in our BHNCDSB Secondary Schools.

Our Catholic faith teaches us that the human person is made up of body, mind, and spirit. Our health, wellness and human achievements are all interconnected. In our BHNCDSB Secondary schools, we believe that the fullness of the human person can be shaped through intentional participation in the life of sport. Through the intersection of sport and faith, the “Give the Best of Yourself” initiative focuses on character development and faith formation in our school communities. The initiative offers our students a Christian vision of sport, one that is grounded in a Christian understanding of the human person and a just society. The goal is to instill Gospel values in Catholic school sports to encourage young people to live as Christian disciples.
