Le Club Français

Bonjour et merci tout le monde! Assumption College’s CLUB FRANCAIS is an amazing community of students passionate to learn about French culture and dedicated to improving their French speaking skills. Sharing lunch with friends and classmates while engaging in language games and presentations has brought confidence and laughter to all members, even the club presidents and teachers! Other activities included indulging in French foods as well as offering student exchange opportunities to countries abroad. Our final meeting ended off with a social gathering of all three high schools, Assumption College, St. John’s College, and Holy Trinity, where we enjoyed a lovely French meal and presentations by guest speakers. It has been a great pleasure working alongside Teaghan, Rosalin and Mme. DiFrancesco in order to make this club possible. With Assumption’s wonderful group of future French speakers, we cannot wait to see how this club will grow in the years to come! Vive le Français à ACS!

Il Club Italiano

Ciao! This year was the very first year ACS offered “Il Club Italiano.” Students were exposed to the beautiful Italian language and culture.  We discovered new Italian vocabulary, learned about the country and traditions, and even sampled some authentic Italian cuisine! We also had a unique opportunity to have two very special guests from Italy. During their presentations they were able to give our students an insight on how growing up in Italy is very different from growing up here in Canada. We were very pleased with the amazing turnout that we had this past year, and we hope that this club continues on in the years to come! VIVA L’ITALIANO!
