CWAYC

Do you get “fired up” about what is going on in the world?   Do you want to have your voice heard on the issues that matter to you?   Then ACS’s newest club,  CWAYC  (Canadian and World Affairs Youth Council),  is for you!

What you need to know to join CWAYC:

1.  The name CWAYC, (pronounced "quake"), is taken from the idea of a powerful force that can move and shake things up in the world!     That is, students like you!

2.  Students who have a passion for economic, historical, environmental, geographic, political, and social issues should join and "movers and shakers"!

3.   Like STEM and LEAP, CWAYC is considered enrichment and co-curricular in nature, and participation will be tracked for points toward Lion Award etc…

4.   CWAYC members will have a direct gateway to all the CWS activities that we currently run, such as ACMA, Mock Trial, Geography Challenge, Tree planting… etc…

5.   CWAYC will also enhance student knowledge and thinking skills with guest speakers, field trips, conferences, awareness and action activities etc…

6    CWAYC has been added and designed to enhance the AP Program.   Forms for grade nine and ten students from Student Services are now available.

7.   The  information and sign up meetings are on May 3, first and second lunch, in Room 2027 – if you missed the meeting, see Ms. LeMaitre in Room 2003 to sign up and get your form.
