Academic Awards

Congratulations, Academic Award Winners 2020-2021!

The Administration and Staff of Assumption College School are delighted to congratulate the Academic Award Winners from the 2020-2021 school year.

Students have been recognized for their hard work, dedication to their studies, and their overall academic performance.  Certificates have been issued to those students who earned a place on last year’s Honour Roll, and for a few special recipients, an additional presentation was made to those students who displayed academic proficiency in a specific course and level of study. 

We also offer some very special recognition to our Lion Award winners.  This award is presented to students for a combination of academic excellence, extra-curricular involvement, and community volunteerism.  It is awarded to students in Grades 9-11 after a rigorous application process and is a precursor to the School Letter Award which is presented at our annual graduation ceremony.  This year, Principal Cacilhas was delighted to present four awards to very worthy recipients: Vibha Koottala, Aidan O’Brien, Andrew Poirier, and Tahiyah Syeda.  Congratulations to these four outstanding individuals! 

As we hear in our Mission Statement each week, our Catholic learning community commits itself to academic excellence, and our recipients have proven themselves capable student leaders and models of academic excellence in the face of a challenging and unprecedented school year.  We are proud of each of you!

To all parents and caregivers, the Staff of A.C.S. also send you congratulations and appreciation for the support you continue to offer our Lions and for the invaluable partnerships that are created between home and school each year.  Your continued support allows these award recipients—and all students in our community—to flourish and grow as learners.  We send you prayers of thanks and blessings for the important roles you play in the lives of your children.
