Congratulations to our 2019-2020 Academic Awards Recipients! 

Today we celebrate your hard work, academic excellence, and commitment to your studies last school year.   The effort you dedicated to your studies, both at school and at home, have paid off in abundance, and the administration, teachers, and staff of Assumption College School want to recognize your individual accomplishments.  You each embody our school mission statement as you “strive for excellence,” and we are very proud of you, Lions!
To qualify for the Principal’s Honour Roll, a student must achieve the following:

For Grades 9 & 10—80% average in minimum eight courses and be recognized as a full-time student (September-June)
For Grades 11 & 12—80% average in minimum six courses and be recognized as a full-time student (September-June; mandatory six courses)
All courses must be taken in the Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board and will be calculated from July 1-June 30 for each year’s Honour Roll

In times of celebration, is also important to stop and reflect on the blessings in each of our lives.  Be proud of your accomplishments, but also take time to thank your parents, teachers, and staff who have supported you along the way, especially given the unprecedented circumstances we have all faced this past year.   Our support systems allow us to confidently build upon our individual gifts and talents, and it is important to acknowledge their presence along our journeys.

Although we are unable to gather-at-large in our annual Awards Night Celebration, we want all our Award Recipients to know how proud our school community is of your academic achievements.  Please enjoy the following video remarks to celebrate you and your academic accomplishments.  Congratulations again, and please enjoy!
