1.   Coffee House is tomorrow lions! Come on out to enjoy the amazing musical performances of our ACS students. Snacks and warm beverages are included in the cost of your ticket. Missed online sales? Buy a ticket for $8 at the door. See you there! 

2.   Attention Grade 12 Class of 2026 students who have submitted interest for the Twenty Eight thousand-dollar James Hillier Scholarship.  You are asked to check your email today and reply to Ms. Christie. 

3.   Attention Grade 12’s. Today we have a mandatory meeting for Prom during period 1 in the cafeteria. If you are a Grade 12 in a Grade 10 or 11 class period 1, and you plan on attending Prom, please join us in the Caf for this very important meeting. Teachers, there will be an announcement to bring your classes down immediately following ATV today.  

4.   For all of those that are going tree planting tomorrow: please meet in the caf at 8:35 am if you are on Bus #1 and if you are on Bus #2, please meet at the student parking lot entrance at 11:45 for the second bus. YOU MUST BE IN FULL UNIFORM FOR THE PORTION OF THE DAY THAT YOU ARE AT SCHOOL. If you are not dressed properly for the trip, closed toed shoes and proper pants and shirt, you will not be permitted to board the bus.  See you tomorrow! 

5.   Your environmental fun fact today is: Fresh water is limited—every drop counts.   Only about 1% of Earth’s water is usable for humans. Simple habits like shorter showers, turning off taps, and not wasting water at school or home help protect this essential resource. 

6.   Today’s environmental fast fact for Earth week is: Biodiversity affects your everyday life.  The variety of living things keeps ecosystems healthy—this impacts the food you eat, the air you breathe, and even medicines. You can help by protecting green spaces, planting native species, or learning about local wildlife. 

7.   If you like to discuss current events and care about world issues, come out to the first meeting of the quake politics club on Wednesday.  It will take place in room 1013 from 3:15 to 4:00.  Don’t miss out on this fantastic event.   

8.   Calling all writers looking to win some sweet cash, join the LAC SLAM POETRY CONTEST celebrating April as National Poetry Month! Combining the world of theatre with poetry, perform a clip up to 90 seconds of your original written piece with any theme of your choice! 1st place prize is a $100 cash, 2nd place prize $50, 3rd place: $25. The entries are due by 9:00 AM on Monday, April 27th in the Library D2L. If you have any questions feel free to ask an LAC member or Mrs. Engell in the library!  

9.   This year’s spring dance is next week on Thursday, April 30th from 6-9pm, and the theme is 90’s Throwback! Ticket sales are now available for $5 on school cash online. If you plan to bring an outside guest, be sure to pick up a guest permission form from the main office. Guest ticket sales start Thursday at the back of the caf, but no guest tickets will be sold without a signed permission form. 

10.  Attention Vocal Ensemble members. Your audition for The Festival of Music at Wonderland is TODAY between 3 and 4:30pm! It is section A-D in “Man I Need”. All harmonies are found on the D2L page. Attendance will help secure your place. Please communicate your absences! 

11.  The varsity girls’ soccer team kicked off their season yesterday with a 4-0 win against Paris. Great job to Sienna who scored two of the goals, Karlin and Kailyn for scoring one each. Olivia played a solid defensive game. Taylor and Sierra both showed great hustle. Our next season game is on Wednesday against NPC. Wish our girl's luck!  

12.  Tuesday's special in the servery will be Grilled Chicken Quesadilla made with chicken, mozzarella cheese, salsa, peppers and onions for $6.85 with a side of sour cream. Cheese Quesadilla for $5.75 with a side of sour cream. Cinnamon buns available at 10:15 am.
