1. Students needing a schedule change can sign up in the guidance office. Note- many courses are full, including all online courses, so there isn’t much room for changes. The last day to sign up is this Friday Feb 6th. Due to the overwhelming demand, it may take several days for students to be seen, you must continue to follow your current schedule until you are called.
2. The Waterloo Math Contests are fast approaching! If you are interested in writing the Pascal, Cayley, Fermat or Euclid math contests, please check the Math or STEM D2L pages for an entry quiz to confirm your participation and complete them before this Friday. You do not need to be enrolled in a math course to participate in the contest. If you have any questions, please email Mr. Stec.
3. Attention all Prefects, please log-in to update your Prefect Profile – semester 2 availability so we can update our systems and be ready to proudly serve our school this semester. If you need any help, speak to Mr Nagler
4. A reminder to those interested in the quake Mock Trial competition, there is a brief infomration meeting in room 1013 right after school.
5. The 180 Team is meeting tomorrow on all lunchtimes. Come to the chapel at the beginning of your scheduled lunchtime.
6. There will be an information meeting for the Iceland trip on Wednesday, February 19th at 6:30 p.m. in the lecture hall. All students and parents interested in travelling to Iceland are strongly encouraged to attend. Important trip details will be shared, and there will be a discount giveaway prize for attendees. You can sign up for the meeting by scanning the QR codes around the school. Don’t miss it!
7. Looking for the perfect valentines day surprise? For just $2 you can send a beautiful carnation and a chocolate treat to your special someone. Student council will deliver your gift to homeroom classes on Friday, February 13th. Purchase your flowers today at the back of the caf on all three lunches.
8. Attention music students: Junior Band will have a 20 minute meeting today at 3:05 in the music room. You must have the ability to read music to join. Caledonia students – make sure to sign up for a taxi in the office. Music will be handed out, and we will discuss our performances for semester 2.
9. The Roster for Junior Badminton has been posted by the Male Physed office. Practice will be Tomorrow morning at 7:10am. Any questions please email head coach Mrs. Bednarz.
10. Attention swim team members! Please check you emails. Our AABHN championship meet is TOMORROW! Be at the Ross McDonald Pool in Brantford by 9AM.
11. Attention students! There is an exciting French trip to Montreal coming up this April. Highlights of the trip include visiting the Notre-Dame Basilica and the Montreal Biodome. There is also a possible opportunity to attend a Montreal Canadiens hockey game. Hockey tickets sell out very quickly, so if you are interested in the trip and want the chance to go to the game, you need to act fast. See or email Mme. Danielle Beccari as soon as possible for more information.
12. Senior Badmintons second tryout will be after school 3-4:30 on Friday, February 6th. Please bring your form signed to the tryout.
13. Attention Jack Chapter Members! There will be a mandatory Jack Chapter meeting on Friday after school. There will be a room change and the meeting will take place at 3:10 after school in room 1005. New members are welcome as this is the beginning of a new semester. Thank you and have a mentally healthy day!
14. Attention travelers to Italy over the March Break. There will be a mandatory meeting on Wednesday February 11th after school in the lecture hall. Please ensure you attend this very important meeting.
15. Special in the servery today will be Cheese or Pepperoni Panzerotti's with your choice of marinara, garlic mayo or hot mayo dipping sauces for $6.30. Cinnamon buns available at 10:15 am .
