1. Good morning, Lions. Today is the last day to sign up for Men in Faith, happening this Thursday during Period 2 in the Caf. Let’s start the year by seeking God through prayer, conversation, and fellowship with other young men, administrators, and teachers. Scan the QR codes around ACS to sign up today. Did we mention you’ll be getting a free cookie and hot chocolate when you attend? Oops, our bad! We hope to see you there. God bless.
2. We would like to acknowledge and thank our Prefects who provided homework help and mentorship this past semester. Undoubtedly, your volunteerism as servant leaders has helped so many through weekly one-to-one sessions. Lions, thank you for putting your trust and faith in the ACS Prefect Program. We wish everyone the best while preparing for and writing semester 1 final exams. We look forward to serving you once again during semester Two. Sincerely, the ACS Prefect Team
3. Looking for something fun to do at lunch? The Library Advisory Council has you covered! This Wednesday (yep—tomorrow!), LAC is hosting a “bookmark‑making workshop” in the Fishbowl. Come create a bookmark for yourself and help restock our free bookmark basket. All supplies are ready and waiting—just bring your creativity and a friend! See you tomorrow at lunch.
4. Vocal Ensemble is reminded that their ONE and ONLY rehearsal in January is TODAY, Tuesday, Jan. 6th from 3-4pm in the lecture hall. We will decide our repertoire for competition as well as our Spring Concert. Please email Ms. Morissette or Ms. O’Neill if you cannot attend.
5. Start the New Year off right and buy tickets for the Jack Chapter’s Annual Karaoke Night with a new addition of adding the famous “Just Dance” game! Tickets are $5 and will be sold at the back of the cafeteria at every lunch this week! The event is on Friday and it runs from 6-8 PM. Doors will open at 5:45 for students to sign up to either sing a song or dance a Just Dance with a team! Don’t miss out!
6. Attention Lions travelling to Italy this March Break – there is a mandatory meeting in the lecture hall this Wednesday after school. Please see Miss D. Dabrowski if you have any questions.
7. At the end of these announcements today teachers please send a student to the chaplain’s office to return your Advent wreath and candles.
Happy New Year and Welcome Back Lions!
