1. ¡Hola, hola! Don’t forget the Latino Club is having a Día de Muertos baking fiesta this Tuesday after school in Room 2078!
2. Today, yes that is right… TODAY is amplify your culture here at acs. Teachers please remember not to release students un supervised to come to the event and please pay attention to the time that you signed up for. Lions, this is a beautiful tradition here at ACS, but we ask you to visit only if your class was signed up. Our school is too big for drop ins.
3. If you ordered spirit wear online, and have received a notification that it has been delivered, your order can be picked up today in the student council office on your lunch.
4. SHSM Health Care Focus new recruits- forms need to be signed this week. Please visit room 2029 during periods 2, 3 and 4. New signups need to have forms signed before Oct 30th.
5. ACS book clubbers, do you think you're spooky, snappy, and super creative? Mrs. Santos is running a 2-sentence scary story contest just in time for Halloween! Send your eerie entries to asantos@bhncdsb.ca. Due Before our next Book Club meeting on Oct. 27. All stories will be read and voted on at the meeting! The top story wins bragging rights and a treat. Let the chills begin...
6. Attention all Grade 10 Core and all Extended French students! Are you interested in joining the Québec trip this February? Don’t miss out on this amazing opportunity! Pick up an information package and registration form posted on the room 2010 door. The last day to sign up is November 10th!
7. Thank you to all students who submitted an entry for LEAP’s Halloween Writing Contest this year. We are in the process of reviewing each piece of writing and we will be revealing our contest winners on Halloween Day – LIVE on ATV
8. You are invited to the next Environment Club meeting on Monday the 27th. Meet Mrs. Walsh in Room 3024 at 3pm to help out with the Community Gardens at Edith Monture Park.
9. Today's special in the servery will be Tex Mex fries or Nachos topped with tex mex beef, cheese sauce, salsa, sour cream and green onions for $8.25. Plain nachos and cheese $4.99. Cinnamon buns available at the bell 10:15am for first break.
