1. Just a reminder that this Thursday, October 23rd, is picture retake day.
2. Attention Prefect Homework Help and Tutoring applicants, we have received your paperwork and we are in the middle of processing your request to work alongside one of our ACS Prefects. If you’d like to check to see if your application has been processed, visit the BHN_HUB and click on the Prefect App. Your Prefect calendar will display all tentative pairings. Thank you for your faith in us!
3. Good News Gr 12 students! The Mohawk College Rep Visit has been rescheduled to Nov 18th. Please sign up on the gr 12 D2L page to participate.
4. If you ordered spirit wear online, and have received a notification that it has been delivered, your order can be picked up today in the student council office on your lunch.
5. SHSM Health Care Focus new recruits- forms need to be signed this week. Please visit room 2029 during periods 2, 3 and 4. New signups need to have forms signed before Oct 30th.
6. Our First yoga practice for the year is TONIGHT! Meet in 1035 after school. We will practice for about an hour.
7. Attention members of STAR FEST! Please check D2L to complete the form for your entry choice to the festival. If you missed the first meeting and are NOT on the D2L page please message Mr. DaCosta or Ms. O’Neill. Rehearsals will begin the last week of October.
8. Attention all grade 9, 10, and 11 students! The March 2027 trip to England and France is still looking for travellers! The trip is almost sold out with only 5 spots remaining. For more information, please speak to or email Mrs. McLaughlin or Ms. Capostagno, or grab a flyer with registration information outside room 2052. Don’t miss out!
9. Do you have a musical talent you want to share? Consider signing up to perform at this year’s fall coffee house. Please send a short audition video to Ms Ristov no later than 3pm on Friday, October 31st if you want to participate. The event will take place the evening of Thursday, November 13th.
10. ACS book clubbers, do you think you're spooky, snappy, and super creative? Mrs. Santos is running a 2-sentence scary story contest just in time for Halloween! Send your eerie entries to asantos@bhncdsb.ca. Due Before our next Book Club meeting on Oct. 27. All stories will be read and voted on at the meeting! The top story wins bragging rights and a treat. Let the chills begin...
