1. Attention Prefect Homework Help and Tutoring applicants, we have received your paperwork and we are in the middle of processing your request to work alongside one of our ACS Prefects. If you’d like to check to see if your application has been processed, visit the BHN_HUB and click on the Prefect App. Your Prefect calendar will display all tentative pairings. Thank you for your faith in us!
2. Assumption Scares routes will be handed out to the groups THIS WEEK. Please be sure to be at the lunch time meetings on THURSDAY OCTOBER 16, if you are not there, you will not be given your route! Thank you everyone!
3. Our Halloween Writing Contest closes this Friday. Drop off your completed work in the Library before the end of the school day on Friday.
4. Attention STEM students: Our first meeting will be TODAY, Wednesday, October 15th at 12:50 pm in the lecture hall – bring your lunch. Dr. Kim will be discussing his experience in materials engineering and AI. Grab a STEM slip from outside 3005 and talk to your teachers to ensure you may be dismissed early.
5. SHSM Health Care Focus new recruits- forms need to be signed this week. Please visit room 2029 during periods 2, 3 and 4. New signups need to have forms signed before Oct 30th.
6. Attention all grade 10 and 11 French students and grade 9, 10 and 11 Extended French students interested in the Quebec City Winter Carnaval trip this February! There will be a parent information session tomorrow at 5:30 p.m in the lecture hall.
7. Attention all students interested in joining this year’s swim team. Permission forms and information sheets can be picked up outside of room 3010. You do NOT need to be a competitive swimmer to join this team. Practices will begin the last week of October. See Ms Ristov with any questions.
8. Attention STEM students interested in purchasing spirit wear! Check the Activity Feed of the STEM club Brightspace Page for details. Orders are due October 20th.
9. Attention Gr 12 students that have signed up for Conestoga’s Rep visit today – it has unfortunately been cancelled due to the ongoing strike by college union workers.
10. The ACS Art Department is looking to fill the last 6 spots to New York City this coming May! Do you want to go? Please see Ms. Benoit for more information or take an info package from outside Room 2015. Have you already signed up to go to New York? If you need to get or renew your passport, start this process ASAP. Please check the NYC Brightspace page regularly for important coming information.
11. Attention all tennis players. This week Sr.’s will practice Wednesday and the Jr.’s will practice Thursday after school. See you on the courts.
12. Better late than never announcement about boys’ baseball. The boys finished third overall with one loss in the regular season. Special shout outs, with Mrs. Lytle’s apologies, go to our pitchers: Greyson VDW and Ethan H. Your performances on the plate kept our hearts on the right side of beating; let’s hope the other boys in blue can do the same. Wish the boys luck today in their do-or-die playoff game against Waterford at noon!
13. Today's special in the servery will be Chicken Alfredo with penne pasta with a side of garlic toast for $ 6.25. We only have an estimated 12 cinnamon buns so first come first serve- they will be back next wednesday oct 22- soooooo sorry!!
