1. Our ACS Prefects are ready to help you, Lions. Stop by Student Services to PICK-UP and DROP-OFF an application-form to work alongside one of our Prefects to receive free Homework Help, Tutoring or Mentorship. Applications are limited and once they're gone, they're gone!
2. Calling all retreat leaders! There is a mandatory training session on Wednesday for everyone who signed up at club fest to be leaders for the Grade 9 retreats. There is a meeting on grade 10 lunch and one on grade 11/12 lunch. Come on your scheduled lunchtime to the chapel. If you weren’t able to sign up at club fest you are welcome to attend the training session. That’s on Wednesday.
3. Ticket sales for the homecoming dance continue today at the back of the caf on all three lunches! The event will run from 6-9pm on Thursday, October 2nd and the cost is $5. Guest tickets will also be sold today, but permission forms MUST be completed before purchase. A reminder that tomorrow is the last day to buy guest tickets!
4. Attention all Artists: Singing, Dancing, Acting, Visual arts and Design! If you’re an artist, StarFest is calling! Come to the Drama room TODAY, Monday September 29th after school in the Drama room for an information session. The meeting should last 15 minutes. Please see Ms. O’Neill or Mr. DaCosta if you cannot attend.
5. Come out this mercredi october 1st for the 1st french club meeting of the year. We will meet after school in room 2004. All students are welcome!
6. Calling all Readers! The first book club meeting is today after school in the Library’s Innovation lab. Looking forward to another great year of book talks, potlucks and fun. Hope to see you there.
7. This is a message for all those who have signed up for this year’s Library Advisory Council or LAC. Please make sure you have the Teams app on your phone or personal device. The details of our upcoming first meeting are in the LAC Teams chat.
8. A final reminder to all those in Vocal Ensemble – solo auditions are due NO LATER than TODAY, Monday, September 29th at midnight via D2L dropbox, email or remind. Congratulations to those who have already submitted! See Ms. O’Neill or Ms. Morissette for more details.
9. The varsity boys’ baseball team will have an optional batting practice after school today (September 29) at Bill Little Field from 3:30 – 5. This last-minute practice is optional and not in place of tomorrow’s practice. If you can make it, see you there! See Teams chat for details and reminders.
10. All Grade 9 Students with Semester 1 Geography are invited to take part in the Niagara Falls Field Trip on October 9th. See your Geography teacher for more information, and return all forms, and 85 dollars CASH, to Room 3024 at Lunch. First Come First Serve!
11. Attention all grade 9, 10, and 11 students! Are you looking for a once-in-a-lifetime travel adventure filled with theatre, history, and art? The March 2027 trip to England and France is still looking for travellers! The trip is almost sold out with only 6 spots remaining. For more information, please speak to or email Mrs. McLaughlin or Ms. Capostagno, or grab a flyer with registration information outside room 2052. Don’t miss out!
