1. Attention all grade 9s. Student council has planned a special event just for you! Next Thursday, September 11th, is COLOUR NIGHT - a fun filled evening of games, pizza, and a dance. Tickets for this event are $5, and can be purchased on school cash online until Tuesday, September 9th at 3pm. Wristbands will be distributed next Wednesday to homeroom classes. Want to know your team colour early? Be sure to purchase your ticket by the end of the week to find out your team on Monday. Don't miss out on this great event! Any grade 12s interested in volunteering at this event are asked to sign up on the list outside of room 3010.
2. If you have an interest in learning the technologies that go into making our school events work and wish to be a part of a team that sets up for those school events then the ACS AV club is for you! Please come to the first meeting on Tues. Sept. 9 after school. If you cannot attend the meeting, come and see Mr. Petrella in room 1141 sometime in the next few days.
3. Attention Grade 11 and 12 students. The ACS English Department has booked a trip to Stratford this October to see William Shakespeare's Macbeth. Don’t miss your chance to witness the rise of a ruthless king and the deadly cost of unchecked power. Pick up a permission form outside of room 1012 today—before fate decides for you.
4. Attention Senior Boys Volleyball players. Tryouts start on Monday morning at 7:00 am. We will be doing tryouts Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. If you are interested, please come to the gym to sign up and pick up the paperwork .
5. Attention all Junior and Senior tennis players. Tryouts start next week, Monday and Wednesday for Jr.’s and Tuesday and Thursday for Sr.’s. All practices will be after school from 3-4 pm, please meet outside at the courts. If you are interested, please grab a permission form from the Phys-Ed hallway and sign up using the scan code.
6. FOREEEE! Attention all golfers who are looking to play their way onto the boys and girls golf team, there will be a quick meeting Monday after school in room 1136. Please sign up using the QR code in front of the Female PE office. Please bring a signed permission from to the meeting. Permission forms are located below the QR code. See Mr. Hummel or Dr. P for details.
7. Anyone interested in joining the Cross-country team please pick up a permission form by the female physed office. Practices will start on Monday afterschool. If you are doing another sport and want to participate on Cross country please let the coaches know.
8. Today's special in the servery will be Popcorn chicken poutine -fries, mozzarella cheese, 5 popcorn chicken topped with gravy for $7.25. Full order of popcorn chicken and side of fries for $7.75 your choice of plum sauce or sweet and sour for dips.
