1.   Attention Grade 9 math students!  Exams are coming up, and extra help is available today and tomorrow in the library after school.   

2.   Do you still need Community Involvement Volunteer Hours.  Walter Gretzky Elementary School is looking for student volunteers for their Fun Fair on Thursday June 19th from 3 – 7 pm.      Please see the guidance D2L pages for more information. 

3.   The countdown is on! Only 3 days left to purchase “The Outsiders” tickets for the show THIS Thursday, May 29th at 7pm! Tickets are $10 and can be purchased on schoolcashonline or during ALL 3 lunches at the back of the caf or by emailing Mrs. Ratelband at nratelband@bhncdsb.ca  IF purchasing on schoolcashonline, you MUST pick up your ticket at the back of the caf. Warning: this show contains violence, flashing lights and loud noises. Let’s support our fellow gr.12 lions as they take the stage one last time! 

4.   June is PRIDE month and it is just around the corner. If you’ve just noticed that you don’t have any ACS PRIDE spirit wear, don’t panic. Our very own Gay-Straight Alliance is selling Assumption PRIDE t- shirts for only $22.60. We have a limited supply, so hurry up and contact Ms. Nuhu to get your PRIDE spirit wear today. 

5.   A friendly reminder that the Yearbook Club will be meeting this afternoon at 3:10p.m. in room 2028. Please come prepared to continue to work on Yearbook pages.   

6.   Attention all participants going to the Jill Of All Trades event tomorrow.  Please meet outside the main entrance at 7:15 AM. Remember to wear closed toe shoes and no sweatpants, no yoga pants, no jeggings, no shorts allowed.  

7.   A big shout out to the Chess club for their 2nd place team effort at Simcoe Composite School. Congratulations to Aiden G., Rhys V., Taylor C., Sajid M., Arham H. And Damien O. Special shout outs to Max D. for his 4th place finish and Shriyak K. for his 3rd place finish overall.

8.   The ACS Gay-Straight Alliance is looking to showcase Assumption’s pride by featuring student-made art and written pieces this June! If you’re interested in submitting your visual arts piece, crocheted work, poetry, and more, email Ms. Whittingham and Avery at jwhittingham@bhncdsb.ca and alerner0406@bhncdsb.ca by May 29th with your submission and short written piece describing your work and how it represents our school and club’s mission! 

9.   Attention all Rugby players who ordered Spirit Wear: Your order has arrived! Please pick it up this week from Ms. Luciani in room 3010 before period 1, during grade 9 lunch, or immediately after school.

11.  Attention Vocal Ensemble – rehearsal is CANCELLED for tonight, however, there’s one more left! It’s only for those who want to sing in the final Mass. For those interested in being cantor, please email Mrs. Ratelband your recordings of “Alleluia” by Friday, May 30th. 

12.  Attention all Extended French students going on the field trip this Friday.  Please return your permission forms to room 2010 ASAP! 

13.  Are you in drama, dance, media art, music, photography, or visual art this year or next year? Then you are invited to come on the ACS Art Trip to New York City in May next year! You could be exploring Central Park, seeing a Broadway show, taking selfies on the Highline, shopping in Times Square, and viewing world-famous art, like Van Gogh’s “Starry Night”, but only if you sign up before spots run out! If you are interested, see Ms. Benoit for more information, or pick up an information package outside of room 2015. Only 5 spots are left, so enroll today! 

14.  ACS Knit Club, our final meet is this Wed, May 28th from 3-4. Please bring back any needles/hooks if not attending the last meeting. Thank you for all you do, Mrs. Cameron
