1. Hey Lions...don’t forget to check your school email account regularly! Guidance counsellors send important information about how to sign up for summer school as well to let you know if you got into a waitlisted course ....Don’t miss out!
2. If you are graduating this year and not returning, please consider donating your gently used uniform items to TLC. Make sure you see Mrs. Medeiros or Mrs. Bednarz to get your ballots to win some swag. Prizes include Apple Airpods, Owala water bottles, Lulu merch, and gift cards. You can’t win, if you don’t donate. Draw will take place June 25 during the Grad Lunch.
3. Attention Grade 12’s attending Prom. Tomorrow and Friday are the only opportunities for you to check the seating plan to ensure it is correct. See you during senior lunch at the back of the caf.
4. This is a reminder to all LAC members that we will be meeting in the Innovation Lab after school today to judge the Slam Poetry contest. See you there!
5. Looking for some summer reads? Why not head to the library to purchase a ‘new-to-you’ book for only $2. We have a variety of young-adult books just waiting to be purchased. All proceeds go to buying new books for our school library.
6. ACS Knit Club, there is no meeting this week. Next week is our final meet. Wed, May 28th from 3-4. Please bring back any needles/hooks if not attending the last meeting. Thank you for all you do, Mrs. Cameron
7. The ACS Gay-Straight Alliance is looking to showcase Assumption’s pride by featuring student-made art and written pieces this June! If you’re interested in submitting your visual arts piece, crocheted work, poetry, and more, email Ms. Whittingham and Avery at jwhittingham@bhncdsb.ca and alerner0406@bhncdsb.ca by May 29th with your submission and short written piece describing your work and how it represents our school and club’s mission!
8. A reminder to all Extended French students going on the lavender field trip, please return your permission form to workroom 2010 by next Monday, May 27th.
9. Have nothing to do May 29th at 7pm? Enjoy stage combat and a good drama? Then come out and support the gr.12 drama class as they put on their production of “The Outsiders”! Set in the 1960’s, this play follows Ponyboy Curtis, a young person who is navigating their own identity and the conflict between ‘the greasers’, and their rivals: ‘the sosh’s’. Tickets are $10 and go on sale Thursday May 22nd. You can pick tickets up during lunches at the back of the cafe or by emailing Mrs. Ratelband at nratelband@bhncdsb.ca Still not sold? Well, there will also be snacks available to buy at intermission! Warning: this show does contain violence, flashing lights and loud noises. So let’s support our fellow lions as they take the stage one last time!

Have you ever wanted to walk where the saints walked, eat where the Italians really eat, and laugh your way through the Eternal City with teachers who treat faith, food, and fun like it’s part of the curriculum? Because at ACS… it is! The Italy 2026 Trip Information Meetings are happening on Monday, May 26th during all three lunches in the Lecture Hall! All students are welcome Already signed up? Fantastico! You should still come, we’ll be talking all about fundraising opportunities to help make this trip more affordable. Don’t stress about the cost, there are numerous ways to fundraise! And here’s some dolce news: the $100 early sign-up discount has been extended until May 31st! S Faith, food, and unforgettable memories await.
11. Are you in drama, dance, media art, music, photography, or visual art this year or next year? Then you are invited to come on the ACS Art Trip to New York City in May next year! For payments of less than 200 dollars a month, you could be exploring Central Park, seeing a Broadway show, taking selfies on the Highline, shopping in Times Square, and viewing world-famous art, like Van Gogh’s “Starry Night”. If you are interested, see Ms. Benoit for more information, or pick up an information package outside of room 2015. Only 6 spots are left, so enroll today!
