1. Reminder to all participating in the Clothing Swap tonight to meet at 3:30 in the Cafe with your clothing items!
2. Grade 12 students – the grad retreat is next Tuesday. Get your permission forms in by Friday. You are to meet on Tuesday morning at 8:45am at the school entrance by the portables and tennis courts for your buses.
3. Halfway through the collection dates, Lions! The Confidence Closet Shoe Drive will continue to be collecting shoes during the week during Period 2, please ensure that all shoes are new or gently used to ensure that those who will be receiving these shoes get functional shoes that will not get destroyed as that would not be very helpful to them!
4. The 180 Team is meeting on Friday on the lunchtimes in the chapel.
5. Attention! All Extended French students in grades 9-12 that are interested in coming on the lavender field trip; please pick up a permission form on the workroom 2010 door. All permission forms must be returned by May 27th.
6. There will be NO Chess Club today. We will meet again next Wednesday to go over rules for our Tournament in Simcoe.
7. Attention girls interested in trying out for the girls lacrosse team. The first tryout is tomorrow. Meet at the tennis courts at 3:15 with your signed permission form.
8. If you borrowed a uniform from TLC, you need to return it ASAP. Any collateral remaining after May 30th will be donated to St. Vincent De Paul.
9. A little late- but a huge Congratulations to the ACS Dance Team who competed at the Strive Dance Challenge at the end of April. The dance team placed 5th out of 22 high schools, earned most entertaining dance of the competition, and received several overall awards for solos, duets, trios and groups. If you want a chance to see these dances live and in person please come out to our Dance Showcase “Before We Go” on Tuesday, June 3d at 6:00 pm on the stage. Ticket price is “pay what you can” all proceeds go to support the dance team and program. For more information, please email Mrs. Boschman
10. Are you in drama, dance, media art, music, photography, or visual art this year or next year? Then you are invited to come on the ACS Art Trip to New York City in May next year! A year from Tomorrow, you could be heading out on the adventure of a lifetime where you would explore Central Park, see a Broadway show, take selfies on the Highline, shop in Times Square, and view world-famous art, like Van Gogh’s “Starry Night”. If you are interested, see Ms. Benoit for more information, or pick up an information package outside of room 2015. Only 7 spots are left, so enroll today!
11. Attention students who signed up for the Let’s Talk Science Cancer Workshop at McMaster. The trip has been cancelled due to lack of fee payment. Refunds will be issued to those students who have paid.
12. Attention all future explorers interested on embarking to Italy next March Break! Miss Dabrowski has just printed off more Italy trip packages, because you're all as excited about pasta and the Pope as she is. If you need a package, swing by her classroom or find her in room 2010 during third period, yes, she’ll be there buried under a mountain of Rome-themed paperwork. And if you're still undecided, there will be an info session on Monday, May 26th for all interested students, don’t miss it unless you're okay with staying home while your friends reenact scenes from The Lizzie McGuire Movie in real life.
13. Today’s the day, ACS, Jack Karaoke ticket sales officially begin at all three lunches in the cafeteria! For just $5, you get admission to the greatest musical showdown since your uncle’s wedding, plus two slices of pizza and a shot at winning some awesome prizes, sorry, no autographs from Mr. Martorelli, unless you ask politely on the Italy Trip…. Whether you’re belting out Beyoncé or bravely butchering Bon Jovi, grab your ticket and get ready to sing your heart out on Friday May 23rd!
14. Hey Grade 9 second semester Religion students, if you're interested in seeing King of Kings next Friday morning, (and who wouldn't want to kick off the day with a cinematic journey through the life of Jesus?) , make sure you hand in your permission forms to your teachers and pay on School Cash Online by Friday, May 16th. This is a hard deadline: no ifs, ands, or loaves and fishes, because the theatre needs to know how many of you are coming so they can roll out the red carpet, or at least warm up the popcorn. Don’t miss your chance to see the greatest story ever told… on the big screen!

SPORTS:
1. The Varsity Boys Soccer team booked their ticket to the final after a dominating 4-0 victory over McKinnon Park on Monday. Shoutout to Ethan S. to kickoff the scoring with a screamer from 35 yards out. Sebastian M. regained his scoring touch and confidence by finishing 2 quality chances in the second half. Emmanuel U. rounded out the scoring. Greyson V. earned the clean sheet in goal. Come to PJ today to support our soccer teams in the championship game! The girls play at 2pm and the boys follow after at 4pm. Both championship matches will feature our Lions against the St. John’s Green Eagles. Go Lions!!!
2. Your lions girls rugby team has advanced to the AAHBN finals tonight against BCI! Come out and show your support at 5:00 p.m. at Harlequins field. $3.00 for students and $5.00 for adults. If you see them in the hall, wish them luck and get them pumped up!
