Happy Catholic Education Week and Mental Health Awareness Week!  

1.   TODAY is the day! The Jack Chapter is thrilled to host its 3rd Annual Wellness Fair during all three lunches in the cafeteria—and you won’t want to miss it! We’ve got an amazing lineup of community partners who are excited to be here and ready to share their services that support YOU and your well-being. There will be free swag, awesome giveaways, and a whole lot of fun waiting for you at every station! This is your chance to learn about local wellness resources, connect with professionals, and engage in meaningful conversations about mental health—all while enjoying a lively and supportive atmosphere. Come check it out, bring a friend, and make the most of this exciting event. If you have any questions, please see Miss Dabrowski. Let’s make today one to remember! 

2.   The annual spring concert is here! And it’s tomorrow, Wednesday, May 7th from 7-9pm. Audience members will be treated from budding musicians to seasoned veterans in band and vocal! $5 will get you in to see just how hard the music classes and ensembles are at work! Performers, your call time is in the music room at 6:15pm for band and vocal. Don’t forget to wear “spring attire” like pastels and floral patterns. You don’t want to miss it! 

 

3.   On Thursday, May 8th, from 6pm-8pm in the Caf, we will be hosting a Faith night called Faith Over Fear. The tickets can be purchased at the door that night.  If you have any questions, reach out to Ms. Mosher, Mrs. Sheldrake, Izzy Matthews or Shauntay Lindsey. 

4.   Math tutoring will be in the library today for grade 9’s.  Come out and get some free extra help. 

5.   The Social Justice class will be selling bracelets today in the caf – they make great mother’s days gifts and your donation will help support Sick Kids Toronto  

6.   Applications for student council are now available in the main office. They are due back to the main office no later than 12pm on Monday, May 12th. Limited applications are available so pick up yours today! 

7.   This year’s spring dance is set for Thursday, May 15th from 6-9pm. The theme is “Spring into Glow”. Get ready for a music-filled night filled with neon and blacklights. Ticket sales for ACS students are available on school cash online from Monday May 5th to Wednesday May 14th. Guest tickets must be purchased in person at the back of the caf May 8th – May 13th. Please remember that guest forms must be completed before a ticket to the dance can be purchased. Guest forms can be picked up in the main office. 

8.   The lost and found in the main office will be cleaned out on Thursday May 8th. Be sure to check it out if you have lost anything as most items will be donated.  

9.   Mrs. Cameron would like to thank all students and staff on their kindness and generosity for the Nigerian family fundraiser! You made a difference in their life! Thank you and God bless!  

10.  Ciao, future travelers! Get ready for the adventure of a lifetime—our March Break 2026 Italy Trip is officially happening! From exploring ancient ruins in Rome to wandering through the art-filled streets of Florence and indulging in delicious gelato, this unforgettable journey is calling your name. If you've ever dreamed of seeing the Colosseum, the Vatican, or the canals of Venice, now is your chance to make it a reality. Information packages are now available with Miss Dabrowski in Workroom 2010. Students who sign up for the trip before Monday May 12th will receive $100 off the trip. Spots are filling up! 11.  Attention STEM club members  Dr. Tyler Wilson, a Software Engineer specializing in Quantum Computing and Artificial Intelligence will be coming in on Thursday May 8th   to give two STEM talks during the grade 10 lunch and the grade 11/12 lunch. Come by room 3005 to pick up a slip or to get more information. Also anyone interested in presenting at the student lead Evening of STEM, please come to a brief meeting in room 3005 during senior lunch. 

12.  A friendly reminder that the Yearbook Club will be meeting this afternoon at 3:10p.m. in room 2028. Please come prepared to continue to work on Yearbook pages.   

13.  You are invited to fight Fast Fashion by joining the Environment Club’s Clothing Swap on Wednesday May 14th after school. Bring 10-15 used clothing items in good condition, and leave with some new-to-you clothes in return! All seasons and sizes needed. Light refreshments will be provided. 

14.  Attention Grade 12’s. Prom is officially sold out. If you didn’t purchase a ticket, you can put your name on a waitlist in the main office during your spare or lunch. This waitlist is ONLY for Grade 12 Assumption College students who did not get a ticket – this waitlist is NOT for a guest ticket. If you have any questions, reach out to Ms. Mosher, Mrs. Medeiros or Mrs. Matromatteo. 

15.  Attention all track athletes: If you have not talked to Mr. Mitchell you will not be competing at AAHBN Track and Field meet this Thursday and Friday. Please come see him before the end of the day to make sure you are registered to compete all names must be in today!  

16.  Attention STEM students: If you are interested in attending a Cancer Research Workshop at McMaster University, please see the activity feed of the STEM D2L page for details. If you have already signed up, please pay the fee via school cash online ASAP. If a minimum number of payments are received, the trip will be cancelled.
