1.   It's Pep rally day lions! Today you can wear a sports jersey or spirit wear top, with spirit wear or uniform bottoms. School team athletes are encouraged to wear their team jerseys for the pep rally this afternoon. 

2.   Attention Grade 12’s. Prom tickets are on sale. The cost of each ticket is $80 per person and can be purchased on SchoolCash Online. If you are bringing a guest from another school, be sure to pick up a guest form from the main office. Get your tickets before they sell out. If you have any questions, reach out to Ms. Mosher, Mrs. Medeiros or Mrs. Mastromatteo. 

3.   Students interested in presenting in the Student lead stem conference there is a meeting in room 3005 after school on Friday. 

 4.   On Thursday, May 8th, from 6pm-8pm in the Caf, we will be hosting a Faith night called Faith Over Fear. We will be sharing in our faith through musical performances, activities, and prayers. The tickets go on sale next week at the back of the Caf for $5. This includes drinks and snacks. If you have any questions, reach out to Ms. Mosher, Mrs. Sheldrake, Izzy Matthews or Shauntay Lindsay. If any staff are interested in joining us that evening, please email Ms. Mosher. All are welcome. 

5.   Attention Track & Field athletes:  All permission forms must be signed and returned to Mr. Mitchell or Ms. Lancaster in order to compete on Friday.  Need a form?  They are outside the Girls PE office. 

6.   Updated entries for the Debbie Miller Meet will be posted outside the Girls PE office.  Ensure you check the schedule and highlight your names so you know which events you are participating in.   If you have any concerns you MUST see Mr. Mitchell today.

8.   A reminder to all winter and spring sports teams. Your teams are participating in today’s pep rally. Junior athletes attend the junior pep rally and senior athletes attend the senior pep rally. When your classes are called to the gym, athletes should line up in the tech hall instead of going to sit with their classes. 

9.   Monday, May 5th is the National Day of Awareness and Action for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG) in Canada. This day is also known as Red Dress Day. It is a day to honour and bring awareness to the thousands of Indigenous women, girls, and two-spirit people who have been subject to disproportionate violence in Canada.  Students and staff are encouraged to wear a Red Shirt and/or moccasins.   Indigenous female students are also allowed to wear Ribbon Skirts. 

10.  Come on out to our next Environment Club meeting today, Thursday May 1st after school in Room 3024. We are planning our clothing swap to help combat the impacts of Fast Fashion! 

11.  Attention all girls interested in trying out for the slo-pitch team. Please sign the QR code and take a permission slip outside the female phys.ed office. Tryout dates to be determined soon. 

12.  Thursdays's special in the servery is fan favourite Tex Mex loaded fries or nachos topped with tex mex beef, cheese sauce, salsa, sour cream and green onions for $7.75. Plain nachos and cheese for $4.99.
