1.   Attention Grade 12’s. Prom tickets are on sale. The cost of each ticket is $80 per person and can be purchased on SchoolCash Online. If you are bringing a guest from another school, be sure to pick up a guest form from the main office. Make sure you get your tickets before they sell out. If you have any questions, reach out to Ms. Mosher, Mrs. Medeiros or Mrs. Mastromatteo. 

2.   Attention Prom Committee! Today, Wednesday April 30th, please go to room 1007 during senior lunch for a prom meeting! See you there 

3.   Attention all girls interested in trying out for the slo-pitch team. Please sign the QR code and take a permission slip outside the female phys.ed office. Tryout dates to be determined soon. 

4.   A reminder to Star Fest participants of your mandatory rehearsal TODAY, Wednesday, April 30th from 3-4:15 in the lecture hall! 

5.   Math tutoring will be in the library today for grade 9’s. If you want to turn that 70 into a 90, we can help. 

6.   Today is Pastel Shirts Day. Wear pastel coloured shirts with uniform bottoms. Tomorrow is a Jersey day and is also a Pep Rally day! Students can wear a sports jersey or spirit wear top, with spirit wear or uniform bottoms. School team athletes are encouraged to wear their team jerseys for the pep rally.  

7.   A reminder to all winter and spring sports teams. Your teams are participating in tomorrow’s pep rally. Junior athletes attend the junior pep rally and senior athletes attend the senior pep rally. When your classes are called to the gym, athletes should line up in the tech hall instead of going to sit with their classes.  

8.   Come on out to our next Environment Club meeting tomorrow, Thursday May 1st after school in Room 3024. We are planning our clothing swap to help combat the impacts of Fast Fashion! 

9.   On Thursday, May 8th, from 6pm-8pm in the Caf, we will be hosting a Faith night called Faith Over Fear. We will be sharing in our faith through musical performances, activities, and prayers. The tickets go on sale next week at the back of the Caf for $5. This includes drinks and snacks. If you have any questions, reach out to Ms. Mosher, Mrs. Sheldrake, Izzy Matthews or Shauntay Lindsay. If any staff are interested in joining us that evening, please email Ms. Mosher. All are welcome.  

10.   Attention STEM students: If you are interested in attending a Cancer Research Workshop at McMaster University, please see the activity feed of the STEM D2L page for details.  

11.   Today's special in the servery is Pepperoni or cheese Panzarrotti's with a side of hot mayo, garlic nmayo or marinara sauce for $6.30. No cinnamon buns for today or tomorrow sorry.

 

SPORTS:  

1.   The Ultimate Frisbee team had a great performance at the first tournament of the year at Brock University.  They placed 3rd overall and won lots of spirit points.  Coach Morisette and Lancaster are very proud.  “Let’s Frizz” 

2.   Some members of the Track Team competed at the High Octane Meet in St. Catharines on Friday.  An incredible outcome for all our athletes.   Stella Kings – 1st in 3000m, Foster Dropko – 2nd in 3000m , Relay Team – 2nd ( Jaden Dixon, Zag Syed, Gabe Hamilton & Rashaad Eichenburg) , Penelope Shaw 4th in 200m and Triple Jump , Reese Callender 8th out of 58 in 200 , Hudson Peirce – 11 in 800.  Way to go Lions. 

3.   Congrats to the Boys Rugby teams that beat BCI in a series. After the Seniors lost the first game, the Juniors and Bantams followed with some wins. The Juniors learned that Preston is capable of controlling his temper, he cannot kick the ball.  Man of the Matches go to Cooper W, Cecil V and Josh Z. Next up for the Boys is the Guelph Centennial Tournament on Friday.
