1. Tomorrow is the last day for Assumption Cares Registration. Please make sure you get your registration form in to room 3011 in time. You won’t want to miss this Lions!
2. Reminder to any student signed up for the April 26th volunteer tree planting at Mount Pleasant Park – see Mrs. Walsh ASAP in 3010 or 3024 today or tomorrow!
3. Are you on junior lunch and currently fasting for the month of Ramadan? If you need a quiet place (without food/distractions) to study/spend your lunch, Mrs. Cameron welcomes you to her classroom 1004.
4. Get ready to celebrate ACE Club's Asian Heritage Month Celebration THIS May Lions! Sign up now in front of the library for an opportunity to showcase your Asian culture through: dance, poem, playing/ singing a song OR walking in a fashion show! Featuring dances like Bollywood, KPOP, Garba, Bhangra, Carinosa, dabke and more! All grades are welcome and sign-up sheets are in front of the library!
5. The Rainbow Ball is being held at Pauline Johnson on May 7th. Members of the LGBTQ plus community and their allies are invited to attend. This is always a spectacular and well-attended event. This year’s theme is Enchantment Under the Sea. The cost is $15 and covers admittance, snacks and transportation from ACS. Permission forms can be picked up and dropped off with Mrs. O’Sullivan, Mrs. Whittingham, or Mrs. Nuhu in room 1007 in the morning or in the Staff Room in the afternoon. Permission forms and payment are due by Friday, March 21st.
6. Calling all grade 9 & 10 students. Join B-United at the Doug Snooks Community Centre tonight from 4-5:30 and learn about yourselves. You earn volunteer hours while eating snacks and winning prizes including a $50 gift card, Xbox Game System and Blue tooth speakers. Register by scanning the QR code found in TLC, the main office, or student services.
7. Want to win a free 3-month YMCA gym membership? If you are between 12-15 years old and need something to do during March Break, join the Y.E.S. program. For more information or to register, visit the school website or TLC’s bulletin board.
8. Spirit Wear has arrived. If you ordered the embroidered spirit wear on Cash online, you can pick it up during your lunch at the back of TLC.
9. ACS knit club, thank you for the huge turnout last night for our weekly meeting. Students who took the crochet hooks but no longer wish to be part of the club or who plan to attend regularly, please return them as soon as possible for others to use. See you after March Break. 10. Hello Music students! If you’re in Vocal Ensemble, Concert Band OR Intermediate Band – you have until FRIDAY of THIS WEEK left to purchase a music hoodie! Purchase your hoodie through schoolcashonline and fill out the form (also found on schoolcashonline) for what size and names you’d like to appear on the hoodie and that’s all there’s to it! You have until Friday, March 7th by NOON to order.
11. Assumption’s Environment Club will be meeting today in Room 3024 at 3pm – all are welcome!
12. Today is the FINAL day that you can enter your talent, such as painting, singing, acting, dancing or playing an instrument to ACS’ Got Talent! If you have what it takes to take the Assumption Stage then submit your talent via video to nratelband@bhncdsb.ca no later than TONIGHT, Thursday, March 6th by midnight! The judges will choose the top ten to perform live, on Thursday, March 27th with cash prizes awarded to the top 3 finalists! This is your LAST CHANCE. Submit now so you won’t regret it later.
13. Attention all senior STEM students! There is an excellent involvement opportunity in STEM in the coming months: the Student STEM Fair! INFO and REGISTRATION are open at the BACK OF THE CAF at senior lunch until FRIDAY MARCH 7th. If you would like an opportunity to LEAD in an astrophysics-day style event, please swing by and sign up!
14. The 2026 ACS Arts Trip to New York City is filling up fast! The early enrollment discount of $100 off the trip ends tomorrow! To secure one of the last spots, enroll online today. 15. A huge thank you to everyone who participated in our Fashion Show Flyer Design Contest! Your creativity and hard work truly shined, making it a tough decision. Congratulations to Ana Giraldo, whose design will be the official flyer for this year’s show! We appreciate the effort and talent of every participant—your contributions made this contest a success. Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer to the big event!
