Job Skills Farm Trip

On Thursday October the 8th, students from Mrs. Medeiros’, Ms. Henry’s, and Mr. MacNeil’s classes left the comfort of their cozy Assumption classrooms to venture into the fields of a local generous farmer, Mr. Maurice Pohoresky, to gather vegetables in preparation for the Thanksgiving weekend. The students worked hard and picked bushels of food which they brought to Friendship House where people prepare daily meals for the Brantford community. Our students then went on to the Local food bank to drop off the rest of the fresh vegetables. The students were very happy to be able to collect this food to help local Brantford families and we are very proud of them for lending a helping hand.
