1. Assumption Scares Hunger is happening tomorrow. Please plan accordingly. Bring water and something to eat. Don’t forget your costumes!!! We are meeting at 4 in the caf. Please also make sure that your driver is going to be here at 4 as well!
2. Thank you to all the seniors who showed up for senior sunrise and a special thanks to the staff Mr. Hare, Mr. Prior, Ms. Kakoty, Mr. Roache, Mrs. Santos, Mrs. Flewelling, Mrs. Engell, Mrs. Mosher and Mr. DARBY! We collected ALMOST $200 FOR PENNIES from Heaven. THANK YOU!
3. Bonjour, everyone! Join us this Friday for our first French Club meeting of the year. We will explore the fascinating topic of La Toussaint! We'll discuss its significance, traditions, and how it's celebrated in France. See the posters around the school for more details. À bientôt!
4. Do you have a musical talent that you want to showcase at this year’s fall coffee house? Any students interested in participating are asked to email a short video of their performance to Ms Ristov no later than November 1st. This event will take place the evening of November 14th. Looking forward to seeing your acts!
5. ACS Knit Club, we will meet this Wed, October 30th. Keep creating your scarves and blankets. The first batch of completed scarves for the shelter has been dropped off. Thank you for all you do. Mrs. Cameron
6. This week is the absolute LAST week to enroll in the art trip to Greece over the 2025 March Break. If you want to go, see Ms. Benoit in 2015 for more information and enroll by Friday, November 1. Those that are enrolled, check the Brightspace/D2L regularly for important trip updates and details.
7. Today is cozy knit sweater day! Hope you are feeling all comfy cozy. A reminder that hoodies should not be worn in replacement of uniform tops today. Tomorrow we want you to show your pride in your grade. Students are allowed to replace their tops with a specific fall colour based on their grade. Grade 9s can wear orange, grade 10s can wear black, grade 11s can wear yellow and grade 12s can wear red. Uniform bottoms must still be worn.
8. Attention all grade 10, 11 and Extended French students! Have you signed up for the Quebec City trip yet? If not, be sure to sign-up by Wednesday November 6th. Don’t forget to visit the D2L page for sign-up details or speak to Mme. Danielle or Mme. Rodger as soon as possible.
9. This Thursday is our Fall Pep Rally, and we are very excited to show off our Lion pride! Athletes on fall sports teams including cross country, field hockey, tennis, baseball, golf, boys volleyball, girls basketball, girls and boys rugby, and football are asked to line up in the tech hallway before the pep rally starts. Do not enter the gym with your classes. In general, junior athletes will attend the junior pep rally, and senior athletes will attend the senior pep rally unless your coaches have told you otherwise. You are encouraged to wear your team jerseys if you are not already in costumes.
10. Attention all Business DECA Club Members... There is an important meeting today with Mr. Virdo during senior lunch in Room 2006 regarding the Pre-Regionals Test that you must complete next week. All DECA Club members, please visit Room 2006 today during senior lunch for a brief meeting with Mr. Virdo.
11. Today's special in the servery will be Potato and cheddar cheese perogies with caramelized onions and fries with a side of sour cream for $6.50. Perogies on their own for $5.00.
