Badminton training continues this week. Junior's will be practicing Tuesday and Friday at 7am and Seniors will be practicing Thursday at 7am. More forms are available for pickup by the male physed office.

Attention gr 12 SHSM students. 45 of you are scheduled for your mandatory First AID and CPR training on Mon. Dec. 18- Tues. Dec. 19th. The list is posted on the student services office window. If you are scheduled for this session, make sure your signed permission form is handed in to Ms. Coene by Wed. Dec. 13th. Check your school email for more info from Ms. Coene. If your name is not on the list, your First Aid training will be in the New Year.

Please look at the criteria on D2L and sign up in Student Services by December 15th if you meet the criteria and you are interested in being considered as the Assumption College nominee(s) for The Western National Scholarship and The Schulich Leadership in STEM Scholarship.

Christmas Holidays are fast approaching, and Student Council has exciting plans for the last day before the break. Shortened classes in the morning, a turkey dinner lunch, and our Spirit of Christmas Assembly in the afternoon. There is plenty of fun to be had by all! The turkey dinner lunch costs only $5, but must be purchased in advance on school cash online. Vegetarian and Halal options are available. December Leap Writing Contest. We have entered the season of Advent. A time for Christians to prepare for the coming of the Messiah, Jesus Christ. It is a time of Hope, Joy, Peace, and Love. Your writing challenge is to create a story (fiction or non-fiction) or poem that celebrates either Hope, Joy, Peace, or Love! As the writer, you decide which of the four virtues you would like to celebrate in your writing. Be creative, use your imagination and skills to uplift your readers with Hope, Joy, Peace, and Love! Please limit your submission to 300 words or less (if you go over, no problem). Please submit your writing pieces to Mrs. Bowen by Monday, December 18th!
