There is an Amplify Your Culture meeting TODAY in Portable 13 at the beginning of 4th period.  Students must check in with their 4th period teacher first and receive permission before they come out to the meeting.

There is a We Scare Hunger meeting in the Lecture Hall during both lunches TODAY.  Attendance is mandatory. 

Attention all students... French Club is meeting TODAY at the beginning of both lunches.  First lunch will be in Room 2005.  Second lunch will be in Room 2007. 

Attention GSA members. The first lunch meeting TODAY will be held in the Drama Room and the second lunch meeting will be held in Room 1035.  

The Boys Leadership Group will be meeting TODAY during first lunch in the library Reading Room.

Attention ACS knitting Club members.  Due to unforeseen circumstances, our meeting after school is cancelled today. The meeting during junior lunch (first lunch) is still a go! Thank you for your understanding. I will send an email with another meeting date. Keep on making the blankets and you can come and grab the yarn for the scarfs: our next project. 

Good news and bad news - the good news is the Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre is SOLD OUT!  The bad news is if you missed getting your tickets then it's TOO LATE.  Those who have reserved your seat - please pay by Thursday, October 27th or your seat will be sold.

The guidance department will be running the COLLEGE AND UNIVERSITY APPLICATION WORKSHOPS next Monday and Tuesday. Attendance is MANDATORY for any student who intends to apply to a post-secondary institute for next year.  The College application workshop will be on Monday, Oct 24th during Period 2 in the Lecture Hall.  The University Application workshop will be Tuesday, Oct 25th during Period 2 at the front of the cafeteria.  There is no sign up required for these presentations.  Classes will be called down before the presentation.

This is the LAST CALL for all those interested in helping with behind the scenes of crew, painting, set creation or props creation for the National Theatre School Drama Festival.  Please submit your paragraph explanation to Mrs. Ratelband by Wednesday, October 26th.

Do you want to buy Halloween Candy while supporting a cause? The ACE Committee will be selling bags of candy during both lunches at the back of the caf every day of this week. Bags will cost a minimum of 2 dollars, but everyone is encouraged to donate as much as they want. All donated money will be going towards relief efforts for those affected by the floods in Pakistan!

Attention all Lions! Did you or your family move to Canada recently or in the past one to ten years?  Join us on Thursday, October 20th in the caf from 6:30 until 8:00 for our Newcomer Family Fun Games Night.  Bring your family and learn how to play a new board game, connect with other newcomers, and celebrate the rich cultural diversity of our community.  Register in TLC or online.

CALLING ALL Assumption College GIRLS!  A few school ambassadors are needed to sit on the SOROPTIMIST DREAM IT, BE IT Advisory Steering committee. DREAM IT, BE IT is an empowering secondary school girls FREE career support event.  Earn volunteer hours, use your voice, and help organize an empowering event.  Learn, have fun, and gather a job description on your resume.  You will need to attend four THINK TANK meetings between Saturday October 22nd and February 25th from 10:00 am-12:30 pm.  Please see Ms. Chagnon in Student Services for more information.
