Welcome Back Lions!  We are going to have an AWESOME semester!

Students are reminded that it's REGISTRATION TIME so please go onto MyBlueprint and choose your courses for next year.  Once you've chosen your courses, click "Review Course Selections", then "Submit Course Selections" then print a copy to submit to your homeroom teacher NEXT Wednesday, along with your School Cash Online receipt for your Activity Fee.  There will be Registration Meetings for all grades on Feb. 14th and Feb. 15th.

Due to a tight timeline the OECTA Writing contest deadline for submissions closes today at 3 PM sharp. Please hand in two, polished hard copies to Mrs. Engell in the Library. Thank you to those students who have already submitted their writing pieces.

Great news Assumption... the Waterloo Math contest is back!  If you are interested in signing up and are a member of STEM, you will get an email this week.  Anyone else interested go to TLC to see Mrs. Bednarz in the morning to sign up. There is no fee this year.  This is great chance to challenge yourself and be eligible for scholarships.

Attention all STEM Students!!! We have a long list of activities planned for second semester that we hope you will be energized to partake in. They include a Forensics Workshop, Speakers on topics like Cancer Research, Quantum Computing, and Astrophysics, Enrichment Activities, STEM Olympics and a whole lot more. Please check your school emails this week for all the details or see Mr. Page in room 3005 for more information.

Just a reminder that the completed Valedictorian application and essay are due to the Main Office, to the attention of Mr. Cacilhas, no later than the end of the school day on Feb. 11th and you must email Mrs. Fergus your essay by that due date as well.  All pertinent information can be found in the Graduation Package you received when you registered online, during the TEAMS information Meeting.

Grade 12 students are reminded that your Community Service hours, done in a  NON-PROFIT setting, are due NO LATER THAN Tuesday, February 8th in order to be eligible for graduation in June.  Remember, the only SIGNATURE required is yours and a parent/guardians.

Graduating students are reminded to continue checking their Grade 12 Information page in D2L for upcoming Scholarship and Bursary opportunities in the Content Section in the Scholarship and Bursary Information Chart. The next month includes the Western Indigenous Student Award and National Scholarship, the Carnegie Future Aces award for volunteerism and the RBC Indigenous students award.  Keep checking for new scholarships regularly-  new ones arrive every week.
