Attention Lions.  There are some changes to our school calendar for Spirit Wear Day and Casual Dress Day.  These changes have been made so we can give proper recognition to Orange Shirt Day occurring every Friday in the month of September.  These changes are:

Friday, September 17th – Orange Shirt Day
Wednesday, September 22nd – Spirit Wear Day (moved from the 17th)
Friday, September 24th – Orange Shirt Day and Casual Dress Day (moved from the 22nd)

Attention Lions.  The ACS Late Cab is back up and running.  Students wishing to use this service are to sign up in the Main Office during their lunch hour (before 1:00pm).

Do you want to audition for the musical?  Do you have questions?  Well, come join the TEAMS meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 14th at 6p.m. for 30 min. The link will be posted on ACS' main webpage.  Email Mrs. Ratelband if you're having troubles joining.

The Gay Straight Alliance will have their first meeting in the Lecture Hall this Wednesday during Grade 9 Lunch: from 12:10-12:50.  Grade 10, 11 and 12 students may only attend at the discretion of their classroom teacher.  We hope to see you there!

ACS sports are back!  The following are tryouts dates and times for our fall teams:  GO LIONS GO!

Jr. and Sr. Football - Every day this week at 3:30pm

Jr. Girls Basketball - Today at 4:30pm

Sr. Girls Basketball - Today at 3:00pm

Sr. Boys Volleyball - Today at 3:00pm.  Please sign up outside the female phys-ed office.  Please see Mrs. Ferraccioli if you have any questions.

Permission forms for Jr. boys volleyball (grades 9 & 10) can be found with Ms. Denison in Portable 13 or Mr. DaCosta in Room 2006. No signed form, no try out. Tryouts will take place this week on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 7:15a.m. In the gym.

Any students interested in trying out for the ACS Jr. and Sr., boys’ and girls’ tennis team, please meet Mrs. O’Brien, Mrs. Petitti, and Mr. Bednarz in room 2003 today after school.  There will be a brief meeting and you will receive your permission forms.  Tryouts will begin on Wednesday, September 15th. 

The Assumption College Prefect Program is recruiting new students to join our team.  We are looking for students who have heard the call to serve and would like to help others in one or more of the following three ways: 1) with Academic Assistance - in the form of Homework Help and Tutoring; 2) Mentoring New Students; 3) Assisting with Daily School Operations.  If you are interested to join, please attend one of our mandatory Information Sessions before picking up an application.  Information sessions will only be held on Monday, September 13 @ 8 am & 3 pm in the Lecture Hall.  We look forward to meeting you soon.
