LEAP Spends a Memorable Day at the Stratford Festival

On Tuesday, October 12, 2017, the L.E.A.P. Club and a group of young Drama enthusiasts spent another memorable day at the Stratford Festival to see a matinee performance of Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet.
The day commenced with a one-hour interactive Prologue workshop on the beautiful Festival Stage.  The workshop was led by three cast members, including some key players including Romeo and Tybalt!  Our Lions were invited up on to stage to participate in a variety of activities that introduced the plot as well as some challenging topics like the meter and form of Shakespeare's verse in a student-friendly way.
Later that afternoon, staff and students alike were enthralled with yet another magical production and nothing but wonderful things to say on the bus ride home.  The entire company was flawless, and they truly captured the innocence and impulsivity of the young star-crossed lovers as they graced the stage.
Thank you to everyone at the Stratford Festival and all of the L.E.A.P. members who made the day so wonderful!  Also, a special thank you to our Grade 9 English students who joined us for this amazing theatrical experience.
We are already looking forward to our next trip!  Stay tuned for exciting L.E.A.P. activities to come!
