Gold Medal Winner

Congratulations to Caleb Rose, Gold Medal winner of the 2019 Skills Ontario Competition in Automotive Service Technology. Caleb will represent Ontario at Skills Canada in Halifax Nova Scotia on May 28, 2019.

For those of you that may not be aware, Skills Canada Ontario competition is the championship game for the "tech world". The Skills Ontario Competition is Canada's largest skilled trade and technology competition. The Skills Ontario Competition offers a unique opportunity for top students across the province to demonstrate that they are the best of the best in their field.

Caleb proved that with hard work, determination, many hours spent in the shop and passion for the trade in Mr. Taiello’s Transportation Class, that he was able to place gold in the Auto Service Technician competition. 

Mr. Taiello taught Caleb how to work on vehicles and how to use tools and equipment and how to perform diagnostics, but it has been the whole school community that has shaped and molded this student into what he is today.  

Yes, it is a Win for Caleb, but it's a Win for Mr. Taiello, it’s a Win for Technology Department, it's a Win for Assumption College School and it's a Win for the Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board!

So, Congratulations to everyone, because if it was not for everyone's support along the way I feel that we would not have today's result. 

It truly takes a village to raise a child.
