LIVE LENT! Project

Our LIVE LENT! project for this year will be a call to service: To act justly – not only within the school but in the greater community. Our kick- off campaign will start on Ash Wednesday, Wednesday, February 10, 2016 and run throughout Lent - ending on Holy Thursday, March 24, 2016. 

This year our focus will be to lend our support to the good works of the St Vincent de Paul Society of Brant (SSVP).

Each week period one homeroom classrooms will be asked to collect the following items:  

Week 1 (Feb 11-19) – non- perishable foods  

Week 2 (Feb 22-25) – clothing 

Week 3 (Feb 29-March 4) - kitchen items  

Week 4 (March 7-11) – monetary donations (to support the purchase of bedding) 

As our act of service to our community, on behalf of ACS the Prefects will be visiting the SSVP store where they will be volunteering their time sorting donations, stocking shelves and helping those in need. 

Our Assumption Cares event will be fundraising for the SSVP. Participants will be sleeping on the floor of the school as a symbol for those who do not have a bed.
