ICT SHSM Trip

On Thurs Apr 20, 2017, Students in the ICT SHSM program visited Pie in the Sky Studios, and Bell Media.

At “Pie in the Sky Studios” we toured their facilities by our tour guide “Norm”. We saw 3 commercial shoots on 3 separate stage areas. The first shoot was for a Tim Hortons summer campaign, the second shoot was for a business style interview session. The final shoot was a Docu Series about troubled celebrities growing up, and their trials and tribulations.

At “Bell Media” we visited 2 live sets, 1 taping, and 3 sets. First they visited the CP24 live news feed where the students met and chatted with Mayor John Tory, who then was interviewed live on CP24. We went on to see “BNN” live. The students watched a taping of “InnerSpace”, with Morgan Hoffman and Ajay Fry. The tour was topped off with visits to the sets of “The Social”, “etalk”, and “The Marilyn Denis Show”.

These Toronto tours opened up the eyes of the students with regards to all of the technology and work involved in Television production.
