Carol Copeland Geography Challenge

Assumption’s  Carol Copeland Memorial- Canadian Geography Challenge

Assumption’s  Carol Copeland Memorial- Canadian Geography Challenge held on February 16 and was attended by 22 of our finest grade 9 geographers.  The competitors showcased their knowledge of Canadian and world geography and were treated to pizza and prizes by the Canadian and World Studies Department.   The competition was fierce and a tiebreaker round was needed.   The winner of the school competition this year was Catie Austin.  In second place was Alexandra Buchmuller.  Finishing close behind in third place was Luca Malatesta.   Congratulations to all of the participants and thanks to Mr. Webster, Ms. Korce and last year’s champion, Ryan Ferguson, for helping this year’s challenge be such a success!   Good luck to Catie as she goes on to the provincial level Geography Challenge!
